Cats aren't scared of cucumbers, exactly. People get reactions from cats by placing a cucumber near them without the cat noticing. Put the cucumber down in front of the cat while they're watching and they won't freak out. The resemblance to a snake might help, but they're mostly startled from seeing something that wasn't there before, as though it snuck up on them.
Actually they are afraid of Cucumbers because they resemble snakes, as that what every source on the internet I found about it said that, and it had nothing to do with them seeing a item that wasn’t there before. Also apparently cats are also scared about Bananas for the same reason. The fact they some cats don’t show fear to it just means that specific cat isn’t as afraid toward snakes as others.

The Banette episode in Journeys made me theorize that maybe the very first instance of a ghost type pokemon was someone turning into them but over the course of history, they just became a corporeal part of the world and was able to reproduce and evolve. But they can still create a new ghost type by that original method. It makes sense that the Ghost type mons are not just full on ghosts or spirits in the current timeline. They just embody the ghostly infinity energy.

If you're wondering that because they're ghosts and techically dead, then ask yourself this:
"Are Ghost Pokémon actually dead if they're able to breed?"
Occam's Razor would state that Ghost Pokémon are not actually dead; they are living beings with ghost-like powers.
And the fact that they hatch from eggs gives greater credence to that.
Some are specifically stated to be dead Pokemon but a lot happen to be cursed objects or just things associated with ghosts, so this tracks.

The fact that this doesn't happen is proof that _that_ statement false, or at least grossly exagerated.

That strange Eevee item is a power cord device! It's designed to prevent the cord from bending & breaking at the device end.That's a more common problem with early lightning cable that has been improved upon in the past few years. You can see the seam where you would slide in the cord. I had horse one & I recognize the design
