      To take apart iPods you need special tools which I don't have. They use some type of very strong glue instead of using the old fashion screws. Just like in your video the new cars with the chip, you can hardly find the good old big block trucks with an easy-to-fix carburetor on them.

    A few comments I hope you don’t mind. I’ve used Acetone to remove silicone or glue plus act as a cleaner, a small bottle of nail polish remover works. I bet a small tube of silicone like for the bathroom (caulking) would work putting that flexible board back together. As much as I hate doing jobs like this I enjoy the challenge! When working with tiny screws I like using a small earth magnet on the shaft of the driver, the screws don’t fall off, I got tired of looking under the couch! Thanks for the video!

      Thank you, Good idea, I will give the Nail Polish remover a try. A long time ago I used industrial-grade Acetone, and boy was that a mistake :-( the entire plastic shell got melted lol

      @@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 Oh no, I didn’t know acetone would do that to plastic. I guess it’d be smart to barely touch the surface you intend to clean first and wait to see what happens. I just searched nail polish remover, it’s made up of an acetone solvent and a fatty material like lanolin or caster oil. So my suggestion might be no better. Next would be thinners or varsol both stink, come to think of it acetone is dangerous and not good to breathe in! Yikes be careful!

    Wow
    My eyesight could never handle a job like that. That's why I want to get a different monitor for my Sony video camera.
    In your one video where you showed that Sony 4K camera.
    One thing that amazed me was I actually bought one exactly like that camera.
    But I just did not like it this stabilization to me was not good so I sent it back. That was several years ago.
    You are great my friend.

      I made a stabilization test video with that camera by mounting it on top of my truck and driving on a dirt road in Proctor Valley San Diego California. This road has some seriously spooky stories that kids get fascinated with it, so this video was a Halloween gift for the kids, so you can ignore the commentary. There is an LED-R/LED-G, how is the GND connected for the LEDs? Cool video!

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101
      @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101  Год назад +1

      There is an IC Chip that generates power for the LEDs positive polarity will be Green LED, and Reverse Polarity will be Red LED. The LEDs are actually two LEDs in one housing with their cathode and anode reversed. This means if you have Ground and +2V the current goes through one LED and if you have Ground and -2V the current goes through the other LED.

    good day, i have watched your videos on Garmin and they are extremely useful, having said that j have a Garmin 276c with "software missing" error and i took it to Garmin dealer they said its not fixable. it was upgraded to the latest software 5.7 a week back and I believe this has created the issue as it might not be compatible.do you have any solution for it ? thanks in advance for your prompt reply and support.

      Thank you for your compliments. I don't have any system file software for this specific model. However, you should never use Garmin Express instead you can try using Garmin Web Updater and most of the time it will automatically fix this issue. I've been doing alot of rework on these lately, alot of power button replacements and some reflows.
    We have some that just intermittently turn off on a full charge. Battery terminal are fine. That button cell ( haven't checked if super cap or batt) would a dead one of those cause the issue?

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101
      @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101  Год назад +1

      This happens when the battery terminals are not sticking out enough. In other words they are pushed in and at times loose contact with the battery.

    Is the microphone dynamic? What does mic1/mic2 indicate? Is that the GND/Mic Analog Voltage Signal? Also, what is the role of that ribbon cable and board on the bottom? Is that to process the button presses?

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101
      @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101  Год назад

      The microphone is a Condenser Mic aka Electrolytic mic. MIC 1 is the Positive terminal of the MIC and MIC 2 is Negative terminal or ( Ground ). The flat ribbon cable is for the A1, A2, and B buttons.

    • @V190r
      @V190r Год назад +1

      @@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 Thank you. What type of ribbon cables are these? Is there a way to test the output of the ribbon cable to see what's being passed?

    • @V190r
      @V190r Год назад

      @@TECHNOLOGYTIPS101 Another question is that since it's a Condenser Mic. That means from the positive terminal, there is 48V being supplied to the microphone (This must have phantom power, correct?)? Whilst the microphone sends the signal back as well?

    Hi is wh-301 compatible with hs-6300?

    • @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101
      @TECHNOLOGYTIPS101  11 месяцев назад

      The plastic Body parts, Mic, Headband, Earpiece, and battery are the same. However the boards are completely different and they will not work interchangeably. This means if you try to register a WH-301 headset to any HME Drive Thru Base Station it will say ID Mismatch, and the registration will fail.

      @@albarazhari28 The internal battery inside the headset is bad which is responsible to keep the registration information alive even when the battery is dead. The number " Zero" on the base station is normal when you register the first headset. After that it will say Number 1 to 9 and then A, B, C, D, E
      The maximum number of headset a Base Station can handle is 15.
