I think the TASER is a revolutionary device in subduing a suspect. In one incident I was dealing with a mentally ill suspect me and my fellow officer were dispatched originally to a welfare check. When we arrived this particular individual became aggressive. At this point in time we were issued the TASER X-26P I had never used my TASER before when I deployed the TASER weapon I got a good muscle spread both probes penetrated the clothing and NMI was successful I only had to utilize one 5 second cycle of the weapon and he gave up. Now that TASER 10 has individual probe deployment and 10 shots! I don't feel like lethal force should be a go to resort granted if someone is pointing a knife at me i'm going to draw my firearm but i do feel like now with TASER 10 I can use the TASER as another option just in case he is still hostile and charging but does not have a lethal weapon at that current point in time. I respect the team at AXON a lot due to the fact that they are not like a lot of other companies and just care for the profits they actually want everyone to be safe including officers and give not only weapons but body cameras to help with that. I hope my department issues us the TASER -10 very soon because it is very effective from what i can see not to mention I don't feel like i will have to use chemical agents such as OC spray or CS gas very often anymore thanks rick!
