Kind of telling honestly. I'm a category manager, and the job basically entails nothing at all. All you do really as a category manager, is just keep up to date with trends in your category and then occasionally pull together sales and traffic data so you can tell your clients how many people are shopping in the category, how much they spend, and where their preferences are moving. It's pretty braindead work, but for some reason people pay a lot of money for "insight"
