- FRONT POV on ride video. Now Open: Wildcat’s Revenge! Hersheypark new for 2023 is an all new RMC-manufactured roller coaster. The hybrid's highly-anticipated debut comes 100 years after the original Wild Cat coaster opened at the Park in 1923.
The 2-minute and 36-second experience begins as riders climb a 140-foot hill, plunge into an 82-degree drop and hit a maximum speed of 62 miles per hour along 3,510 feet of red track on a black steel and wood structure.
Wildcat’s Revenge combines the best of wood and steel by adding a new steel track with unique elements to the wooden framework for a one-of-a-kind thrilling ride experience found only at Hersheypark.
Just at Hersheypark yesterday and this ride blew all of us away! The urgency, speed, twists and turns, and smoothness is just breathtaking!!! This is right up there with velosicoaster!!
You can’t tell from the video, this ride is CRAZY smooth. Likely the smoothest coaster in the park.
Impressive, the old Wildcat was a very rough ride.
@@MrIgottap Yeah, they really outdid themselves here. It’s an entirely different ride.
I was there yesterday and got to ride it. 100% agree. It is one of the best coasters I've ever been on, hands down.
The last two bumps hurt my balls
@@zjones9876same
As someone who grew up with the old wildcat seeing it this buttery smooth in blowing my mind
Man the old one was so rocky
@@Hekkimaniit was it was not smooth
The old one was all bumpy and stuff
Ye that what I meant
I went to Hersheypark yesterday & this is easily the best coaster in the park
I was there opening weekend for Wildcat, and I would argue it's actually one of the best coasters in the United States. I've been on every single RMC in the United States with the exception of Iron Gwazi, and I have never been on a roller coaster that maintains this level of intensity for the entire ride. Sure there are other rides with parts that exceed the intensity of Wildcat (Kinda Ka's launch, Tatsu's diving loop, the first 1/4 of X2 at SFMM), but none of the other ones maintain it for even a fraction of the time Wildcat does. I can count on one hand the number of coasters that actually get more intense after the midway brake run, and this is one of them! One of the most awesome and gnarly coasters in America, were lucky to have rides like that so close to us, because usually you have to drive to a Six Flags to get coasters this intense...
@@tankmaster1018 Then you'll be blown away by Iron Gwazi.
@@DerpityDerpz1 I've gotta get back up there man. It's been so long since I've been to BG Tampa, and I would love to get out there to ride it, unfortunantely broke at the moment though and couldn't afford the gas or buy a plane ticket. But anyways, you've ridden both and thing Iron Gwazi is way better then Wildcat? Just curious
@@tankmaster1018 I haven't ridden Wildcat myself, but I've often heard that Gwazi is the best RMC put there.
@@DerpityDerpz1IG gets blown away by Zadra
Revenge is a dish best served RMC
ride arie then
@@wildcatsrevengefanboyI’ve ridden both and it isn’t
@@guessthatrollercoaster9425 true arie has gwanzi pacing but better it also rides a bit smoother
yea ok lol
@@wildcatsrevengefanboy the endings probably just to intense for you I just like aire because of the amazing pacing and insane ejector
2019-Present RMCs seems to have the best pacing in the company’s portfolio.
SteVe has some good pacing..
I've said it before and will say it again, RMC is the best roller coaster company there is currently (in my opinion) Never thought I would ever be saying that with how much I adore Intamin and B&M, but here we are! Just the most brilliant and innovative coaster company you can imagine, and it's a win-win for everyone since now parks have the option of refurbishing some of their old woodies that are falling apart, and turn them into a world class ride that people will come from everywhere to try out, and it costs the park way less then actually building a new coaster! Who wouldn't love RMC? All of their clients, along with all the guests who eventually ride it have to universally adore them. Talk about a dream job working for them currently... I would give literally anything to be a part of a team like that
@@markbisson6166yep, have to include Steel Vengeance. A lot of their designs repeat the same few elements, but my favorite moments are the weird bits that "don't make sense", like the first inversions on this ride. I think I want to do that part six times in a row.
With an unloading station they can just pump out trains its got nice capacity
I road this coaster on July 4, 2023 with my 11 year old son. What a time we had! I’m not one for coasters (the lines or the suspense). I stepped out of my comfort zone for sure! We highly recommend Wildcat’s Revenge. I enjoyed it so much that I rode it a second time with my wife.
I rode it on July 4th too it was insane
I didn’t get a chance to ride this when I went to Hershey. Definitely going to ride it next time I go.
Alan Schilke is Genius. 💯✨️🔥
I grew up going to Hershey Park yearly and every year, we would end the day by torturing ourselves on Wildcat, by the time I was about 15, it was so painful to ride that I would just opt out. It makes me so happy to see it with the RMC treatment
This looks like the sickest ride. No one will miss wild cat haha.
Fr it used to be such a rough ride it looks so smooth now
Wildcat was good but this is AWESOME 😎
The original Philadelphia Toboggan Company trains were horrible but it initially did farely well with the Great Coasters International trains. The last three years however were horrible.
That is insane! 💥💥
OMG 😱 my heartbeat stop 😂 what an intense ride 😬 but super cool 😄
This ride kicks your a$$ but in a good way the 2nd half of the ride un my opinion picks up speed and the fact that it has no mid break run makes this ride a beast
This ride looks incredible.
i'll try this ride this weekend
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
Cannot wait to ride this... I got to ride Wildcat when it originally opened.
1996
I was one of the first people to ever go on the ride, 100% recommend, most intense one in Hershey
Looks so much better & smoother -- but I can’t say for sure. I’m a back row rider all the way, and this ride always pummeled the Reese’s outta me…it became customary to compare “ride kicked my ass” bruises with my brother growing up
I actually went back row in it the other day. Can confirm it is way better than the old wildcat
The pacing is serving kunt
Who or where is serving kunt ? Sounds like a good place to eat, as I truly enjoy kunt .
just ride this today for the first time and i can safely say this is a top 2 ride in the park. its really this or skyrush at number one
This is better than Sky rush
Wow. Impressive. Great progression and transitions. Incredible looking ride!
RMC-- The new Coaster Kings. What an incredible ride.
I thought that myself friend, this ride does look super smooth !!!
I can't wait until I ride this roller-coaster
I rode front seat this was one of kind and I was one of the first people in line day 2 well done
You know it's a great ride when it throws you around like that AND slams into the breaks with that much force!
Great pov as always.!
wasn’t expecting this to be so intense omg
Looks Great!
I just got on this yesterday. It’s crazy smooth. definitely a beautiful ride, both on ride and off.
Was wondering how you hold on correctly. I just got on and I didn’t enjoy it because of how the new lap bar is and how there’s a knee brace with it. Do I lean forward and hold on to the bar? Or do I lean back? The two thumb bars are far down so I was confused
@@sugarcookiekaci0126 I just leaned forward a bit and held on to the two handle bars on the sides of the lap bar right above the shin guards. You can also hold onto the little rope thingy that’s attached to the restraint. There’s really no correct way, just find any place you can hold somewhat comfortably and pray lol
this ride is SO FUN.
It’s so awesome to see this beast of a ride at my home park. I’ll soon see if it’s better than Skyrush!
It is, by far. At least in my opinion, Skyrush is heavily overrated. The initial fast lift is cool and fun, but after that it’s a boringly generic coaster. It’s shaky too, almost uncomfortably so.
@@digitexstudios5634that's what makes the Skyrush one of the best coasters
I've always said coasters don't hold you sideways or upside down long enough. This one seems to give a good mix of everything. Gonna have to go down and try it one day.
That’s because you’re gp and have never looked at more than like 10 coasters in your life
Im going to hershy park in a week and i will ride every roller coaster that i could not ride
Watching videos like this, I could only wish RMC could have gotten their hands on Son of Beast. No telling what that would have been like.
Insane forces on this ride
loved this ride!! hadn't been to HP in 7 years a d didn't know ride had changed but was thrilled once it got going!!
I love wildcats recent such a good rmc
such a smooth ride
Yesterday I had to wait 1 and a half hours because it broke down. Was worth it though
That looks fun
This drop is insane I just got on today
Don't tell me that, I didn't ride it yet. I hate the drops, but love the rest. We go constantly but I can't make myself get on it yet because of the drop. I hate the feeling of going over the hill and down, but the rest looks so fun.
I just forced myself to ride Candymonium for the first time this week after walking past it for two years, and I had to keep my eyes closed most of the ride to get through it! But I could ride the Great Bear for hours!
Hybrid coasters are the best ❤
I think Kings Island needs to stop what they’re doing and build something like this asap (like a Son of Beast reboot). This is the kind of coaster they’re missing in their lineup.
I am a Hershey and my dad Mae me go on it and I was so scared but at the end I was sohappy
it’s so smooth holy😊
うねうねしたレールが見ていて気持ち良い
I really want to go to Hersheypark and ride this new rollercoaster but I’m afraid I’m not going to get my chance tomorrow to go on this ride 😢
@@zeketr2814 that’s awesome. I’m happy for you
wonderful
❤went there today and rode it twice it is so enjoyable
W pov ‼️
Now thatsa cool coaster.
I’m so exited to ride this!!!
WEEEEE!!
Looks amazing
Rode this past week and it was really smooth yhe entire ride is excellent invits transitions but then i rode WITH UCKED CYCLONE the next day and wildcat is a little tamer and not as good . I put it above twisted timbers but below every other rmc ive ridden
this looks so fast and smooth
Looks like a smooth ride
My favorite part is the seal brakes
Now if they could rmc outlaw run
This looks AMAZING. Super jelly this is not on the west coast.
The only RMC I rode is the iron rattler
I think it looks great...decent length as well
Wow!
Hybrid are the best 😍
I got stuck on the hill going up😂
Looks very fast
I as on here yesterday
this is one of the coasters of all time
Wildcat's Revenge Is Opening Today At Hershey Park 😀🎢
It is a nice new ride but I preferred the old standard wood version. This first drop is not as thrilling as the old version of this ride. I know a lot of people prefer the RMC tracks and tricks they can do with it. It just takes away that sway and out of control you felt on the wooden version.
I think Wildcat's Revenge is a fantastic ride that will take your breath away and I'm sure most of the GP does too. However, I was also sad to see Wildcat go last year. I didn't think it deserved the hate it got. It wasn't perfect but it wasn't as bad as some of the other terrible wooden coasters that RMC has converted. I so badly wanted a GCI refurb with some layout modifications. Wildcat in its earlier years was a beast with the PTC trains it originally ran with. It ran much faster with them and had better pacing all the way through the end. If you look up old videos of it from opening year, you can see how much faster it went into the brake run. The Millennium Flyer trains kind of neutered the experience and made it slower while not really doing anything for the smoothness. So in its later years, it was a shell of its former self. I still rode it multiple times every visit and often thought it was a better ride than Lightning Racer in some ways.
Oh well, it is what it is. I can see why so many people enjoy RMC coasters but they're also not for everyone due to their intensity. I think a wooden Wildcat refurb would have actually appealed to a broader audience. But the RMC conversion also provided Hersheypark with something they didn't have in their coaster lineup. I'm still a wooden coaster fan at heart. As you said, they provide a thrill that you just don't get from anything else. I really would like to see GCI refurbish Lightning Racer soon! I don't want RMC taking away all wooden coasters!
@@mhtube01Wildcat was hands down the worst wooden coaster I’ve be ever ridden. Soo glad it’s gone!it deserves all the hate it got and more!
Gwazi or this??
Too bad its closed now....went yesterday and we were very disappointed! Take the time to open it right, they probably rushed it too soon
Unfortunate. Seems like it happens all too often with this manufacturer. I’m sure Hershey is doing everything they can and it’ll be back in a few days :(
Hauls ass to the end too.
When the POV looks so good that it seems like it’s AI generated
👍😀👍
is this the same as the 1 wildcat they had ?
Yes they converted it.
Iron Gwazi?
Is much better
@@jarvisfrederick4315 really?
@@Ivanyosue I think Iron gwazi is. Yes
Is this in Canada
It’s at Hershey Park in Hershey, Pennsylvania
Hersheypark, Hershey, Pennsylvania, United States.
This looks even more painfully then the original.
Pretty short..
This looks like another animation..
Idk why they didn’t add a fifth block so it doesn’t do the wird slow at the base of the lift thing
Are you supposed to vomit watching it?
Toes
They copied kings dominion with twisted Timbers
Not at all whatsoever.
Literally a copy of joker from six flags
Not even close
1: no
2: this is infinitely better than joker
Great track! Unfortunate GeoEngineering (chemtrail) sky.
RMC ruins every good woodie.
It was not a good woodie
Looks like a weak steel vengeance
Boring
hi
WHO CARES I WOULDNT PAY THAT MUCH TO GET IN THAT PARK WHAT A RIP OFF
Rode yesterday absolutely amazing and smooth, although my soul is still up there...lol great ride !!
