I think the allo charge out of the brush is linked to a mixture of carnos charge and utahs pounce, which is why they put there mechanics in first, the allo will probably charge at prey at a great speed for limited time and if it's smaller than it like shown with Cera it will pounce it and pin it and if it's large than it, it will likely grapple on shown with Para it's literally so obvious what he can do
Exactly my thoughts! I also like the ides of it being able to carry bigger chunks of meat or small corpses with its arms. That way you'd be able to move way more food towards your nest or to safety.
I hope yes, allo was my main in legacy and i wish i can play him like that in evrima too. I hope update 6.5 is gonna be fixing our all problems or at least most of them.
Allo seems to be the most anticipated upcoming creature, and for good reason. It seems to be the spitting image of a generic therapod, but in all the right ways. In terms of size, it is middle of the road with no lopsided physical proportions like carno's baby arms. It is fast, can ambush, has decent overall stats, has good bleed, can form packs, and has claws. No matter what animal it fights, it will always have an advantage in some way. In this sense, allo is the swiss army knife of the isle, able to fit the mold of whatever it needs to be in the moment. The problem allo will face is competition with other predators that share the same build and niche. Bary and sucho in particular are both around the same size, and both use claws to fight. There are some differences such as size and how bary and sucho are semi aquatic animals, but the overlap is significant. Balancing not only the stats but the mechanics are very important because it can be very easy for the slightest disadvantage to make an animal completely unviable.
allo is comming! i can not wait! holy f, the new animations look so dope! i kinda hope they up the size a bit, there is (shown that there are big sub species, allosaurus amplexus and saurophaganax, but a certain study says its the same species, they just sometimes got real big) so cool ;D
1:41 they didn't make packs, but they did something similar, where if there was enough allos in the area and there was a big sauropod or a sauropod herd they would temporarily all congregate in numbers up to around 30 or 40 allos or 20 in order to take it or one down, and then when they kill it they just act like they don't know each other and will attack if one gets too close to the other Edit: allo might not be getting a ambush sprint, instead it could have it's acceleration speed be basically instant but slightly slower than utahs acceleration
It’s widely debated whether they packed regularly or opportunistically (as you mentioned) however multiple groups being fossilized together more strongly supports the idea that they were communal/pack animals
Complete invention on your end. We have zero idea of their social behaviors. These are animals that have been gone for over 150+ million years, stop speaking on their social behaviors as if you’ve witnessed them like lions and it’s settled fact. All we know for sure is many are found fossilized together, which can hint at communal living like wolves, or perhaps it was a death pit and many allos simply got stuck and died whilst trying to scavange, from whatever it was that caused the deaths (be it a tar pit or toxic fumes). We have no idea in reality how they behaved or their social structures. That stuff doesn’t exactly fossilize.
allosaurus has officially 2 running animations when it's animations were shown alongside half of the still unreleased roster 2 years ago, and one was a normal run, wiht the other being a faster sprint, soooo.....
I honestly wanted to see how it clashed with Albertosaurus in this concept, hopefully when Albertos concept is shown, we'll be able to see how their rivalry will play out.
From what the devs have said in the past it seems the goal will be a focus on skill based gameplay in matchups. The devs want animals of similar weight classes to be competitive against each other, so This particular matchup would probably be decided by things like skill, diet, circumstances, etc. Albertosaurus will probably have the advantage in damage trading since its basically a mini rex, but allo will probably be able to out bleed and out maneuver an albertosaurus. Also allo would probably have a numerical advantage. I think the more important matchups are between allo, bary, and sucho. They seem to have similar builds, except allo isn't semiaquatic.
@@varatic644 they are both medium sized fast predators that focus on using their claws. If you look at a size chart they're pretty similar. Yeah Allo is bigger but pachy is also smaller than carnos but can kill a carno. They have very similar niches and are gameplay wise are the closest competition.
“Para should run from allos and other mid tier carnivores.”-kissen Para: *is 3x the size of an allo and would very likely dom them with a kick or tail slap if they met irl*
Well mr warmaster, though there is little proof so far that allos hunted in packs, there isnt something to disprove it yet so i think it's not a bad idea for the game
For sure it will be a pack hunter to up to 4 or 3 adult pack members, it may be best bleeder and mid tier predator in game (not mentioning cera but he was mentioned to be very slow so yeah, very small danger exept if you wanna eat peacefully), it has also charge pounce ability to pin down a smaller pray than his size and pounce like utah the bigger ones as showed in its concept art- para got pounced and cera got pinned.
I don't understand the point of eating homalocephale, when it will give you less than 1% food :/. They present this feature of dig in a burrow like : "Oh my god, you see! what will you be abble to do ???!!!! Owowowowo!" The isle ☕
I imagine it like a smaller faster giga, able to keep up with something like a tenonto (similar to camptosaurus) or even dryo in a sprint, able to mob larger prey to exhaustion. It should also be a good scavenger, maybe being able to get more meat off carcasses, whilst cerato, rex and alberto are able to eat bone as well. Allo is thought to have been gregarious but not a coordinated pack hunter. Like how crocodiles will attack something all at once, and when it comes to feeding its a free for all. A lot of allos in bone beds might have been killed by other allos during feeding frenzies. So I think allo should play as a fast hunter, capable of taking down apexes in a mob, and recovering from wounds well. Giving it high nutritional needs would help balance this, create competition within groups: limiting how common they are, their size and how long people stick together. This would also make it difficult to get to adulthood, to reflect their violent and often short lives. It should be a dino you have to take risks with, not OP but can still take on a stego and survive if it fails. Also uh, cerato was only a bit smaller, was bulkier and had a stronger bite. It was rarer but it wasn't just a punching bag. It should have a relatively equal match up against cerato which could take more hits in a fight but Allo could recover from very severe wounds which would balance the 2. If an allo survived a fight it would be able to recover, but the cerato might not get as damaged in the fight itself, and be able to inflict more damage thanks to the stronger bite.
Well, both of them have several subspecies but only the largest is even close to an Allo in size so a fight between them should favour an Allo but the cerato should be something the Allo shouldn't want to attack unless starving
I think the little part with allo tackling cera is both showing the rivalry between the two and how their both capable of going against eachother especially how we know cera is going to be a pretty dangerous foe due to it being strong and tanky to bully others and having an ability that likely infects others, also I do think allo being ambush based is not a bad idea since the fact that it was said magy was faster than it while being a sauropod of decent size and how allo has tools that can allow for better ambushes, so i think making allo like that works well since it doesnt try to be similar to carnos roll of being a fast, low maneuverable rammer to take down prey quickly and ceras roll of being a big bully made to eat rotten corpses
Like your speculations and give grounding facts so it is easier to follow. If the ambush mechanic is reintroduced like in legacy then we will see crawling allos on daily bases. At the time I write this, there is speculation that allo may be a surprise drop. Dibble is in hordetesting and will drop soon. With trike and rex supposed to be next. If allo drops as a surprise before or alongside trike and rex it may prove to be a vital link between the 2 apexs and the rest of the roster. Also considering the possibilities of the new pounce to pin mechanics, a pack of allos will be able to keep the numbers of rex and trike in check by being able to pin them all the way up to and possibly including full grown trikes and rexs. As the speculation surrounding the new mechanics suggests that if enough raptors pounce onto a full grown stego with enough drained stamina they can pin it. The same could occur with allos and rex or trike. Allo may prove to be the lynch pin that facilitates balance for the roster now and moving forward.
@WaterEnjoyer i think media hypes it up too much, it would be awesome dont get me wrong. they may have had cooperative predation events but no coordination on the level of packing behavior in mammals. a lot of scientists have suggested it would likely be similar to komodo dragon hunting behavior which is that they just circumstantially come across the same prey, perhaps drawn in through the smell of blood or something.
I wouldn’t approach it this way. Monospecific bonebeds like what are seen in Dromaeosaurs, allosauroids, and tyrannosaurids are still a mystery yes. And the recent backing that they weren’t packs simply seems to go into the fact that very few of their close relatives don’t have complex pack structures as seen in mammals. While this is true, I don’t think we should leave out pack hunting entirely, simply due to the fact that these dinosaurs are filling similar niches to mammalian carnivorans that are commonly known to pack hunt. These bonebeds aren’t the best evidence since they could indicate a variety of scenarios, but they ARE evidence nonetheless. Not really, north america torvosaurus was smaller than allo, where torvo was bigger than allo was on europe, but yeah europe torvo was bigger than north american allo
In North America, Allosaurus was the most dominant predator as it filled most of the predator role in the Morrison Formation. If anything there would be more competition between Ceratosaurus and Torvosaurus due to both of them living in similar habitats which were Riverways and forests, while Allosaurus (and Saurophaganax) would've hunting in the open fields. This was all remember about the predator roles during the Morrison Formation. I definitely can be wrong tho.

@@mistypikku no, I really mean it, you exaggerate a lot, development is very slow, but not that slow
@@ender_z4nd3r83 thunk about it, in the past 3 years of evrima we have gotten 5 major updates with only 9 playables the next few playable are pretty much confirmed to be beipiaosaurus, stethocanthosaurus, ceratosaurus, and gallimimus which will take another few years. And seeing that the concept art just came out its likely to assume we are not gonna be seeing this guy for atleast more than 6 years
@@mistypikku what? Galli beipi and cerato, and maybe herrera, all of them will get them next year, I understand you dont believe it, is also hard for me to believe it
I don't think is hinting ambush, I think is showing us an opposite thing, that allo is not super fast, and it will need to catch preys by surprise, but in the case allo really get ambush, I think it shouldn't last more than 5/10 seconds
oof i wait until the premieres is over and i can actually watch the video...
IF allo going to be getting ambush speed shouldn’t all the carnivores have it?
All ambush predators yeah
The game is trying to be more to the real life counter parts of the real life dinosaurs allo was an ambush predator like trex so it makes sense allo should have it
allo 2 years later?
2 years? Ahahah
@@kayamkara6138 more late???

Oh boy! Para is going to suck so bad...
God bless America 🇺🇸🦅
everyone loosing theyr midn cause Allo is so cool asnd so "handsome" uwu ..allo
meanwhile Torvosaurus was actually the apex during htis time and way bigger then Allo
same iwth no fossil effidence that allo ever huntet Cera or the other way around
only that Cera was less common then Allo
even that Cera was way more addaptet to hunt in river sides and swampy areas while allo prefered dry open fields
and the old drope ,,,Hadrosaurs are weak fat ...punchign bags who cant defend themself
gets old ,,,way to much
somehow only< shant or edmonto can defend themself everyone else in the grouping is just dumb aF ?
even most hadrosaurs where more then able to destroy mid-tier Carnivores if they had to fight
Torvo lived in forested areas and was far less common, same with cerato meaning both were less successful than Allo
that literally dont means its less sucessfull
lol
do you even have any idea about how animals work ?
or oyur now just fanboying over allo
lets see thers dev more Jacals in Africa
then Caracals
for every Caracal there come like 10 + Jacals
stil lthe Caracal is more sucessfull then the Jacals
also when your better at doing stuff
you generally dont have the need to reproduce like crazy cause most of your young will survive anyway to adulthood
