Great video Henry, I've been following since January and I watch every video you upload. It got to the point that I understand more Robinhood than Interactive brokers(platform I use). I'm struggling to apply the credit spread strategy in IBKR. I go through every single step you show in your videos but I don't end up understanding the P&L graph. Do you have any recommendations easier platforms to trade options? (I reside in australia) Thank you!!!

For those watching in England, don't get suckered in to marketing, none of this is available on the UK based platform. It's a basic version of the US version.. Most you can do is stock screen (which could be useful if you dont have one) and buy and sell stocks in a very basic format..otherwise the platform is limited currently, I spoke with tech support and it could be quite sometime before it unlocks more modules.

Most people I've seen close at 90% profit if its at least a few days before expiration, if you're basically on the expiration day then they let it expire worthless. How to close a "sell" option is to buy it back. It'll usually say "buy to close". If you're worried about an option losing a ton of money, and don't want it exercised, then you have a few choices, roll it to a further date, and a better strike price, or simply outright buy to close, and probably take the loss.

When u sell a put does the premium go into your account immediately or when it expires

The premium will go into your account right away and the broker will hold the strike price times 100 as collateral.
