Love the demo Nick, feel like you were just showing me some of these features in the shop and great to see them shared with the wide world 🌐

Most important module, i would not enjoy eurorack without it. Would seriously suggest everyone to get this as second module. (ok first you need at least something to watch on it.)

    Question.
Can this unit be used to also test circuit boards like a regular scope ?

Doubt it. I imagine that it is unable to get the required high frequency resolution or take a high voltage that a professional scope can. Especially if you're looking at radio frequency eletronics. For the same price you'll get a good enough professional scope these days. Don't know if you'll get a DATA new anymore, I think that they're out of production. The Korg Nu Tekt NTS2 is a good option. It's not eurorack but I doubt it will be long before there's a rack mount option. That's the real draw of the DATA. That and you don't need to fuck around with different cables and adapters. Unless you want to try probing circuit boards. I went for the NTS2 for audio and a cheap ( 100GBP +-) tablet-style 2 channel scope for electronic repairs. I don't do RF, so 0 to 1 or 2 MHz is quite enough. The NTS2 has pretty much the same feature set as DATA so I'm covered there.

I just got my first MORDAX DATA module, purchased new. Right away I noticed that the encoder has a lot of wobble and, more worryingly, when rotating it, it travels a bit before "catching" on.
Is this normal or should I return my module in exchange for a different unit?

That was my first impression as well buying a new one. I 3d printed a small plastic ring and put it on the potentiometer to hold it in place. It's a bit better but not great.
