Anyones else's birds love uncooked noodles?? Gotcha seems to like to play with his while Letty is the one that likes to actually eat it lol.

I cannot stress enough how heartbreaking this sad truth is.... Too many people impulse buy parrots because of cute or funny traits they've seen in other birds.
A life stuck in a cage is cruel and so unfair to these magnificent beautiful creatures.
They deserve the absolute best!
If you are interested in a parrot, adopt one because you have the time, money, patience, energy and if you want to save them from a life stuck behind bars, not solely because they are cute or funny or talk etc.
Again parrots are a LIFETIME commitment.
They can live up to 80+ years!! Which means they just might outlive you, and where will they go if something happens to you and one day you don't come home? What will happen to them? Who will love them and care for them? All things to consider....
I've given up many many things to give my two parrots and other animals the best life they can possibly have!
It is an honor to share our lives with these amazing creatures.
Please ADOPT DONT SHOP!
Please choose not to buy babies from a breeder who breeds for profit, there are thousands of birds suffering in cages abandoned and unloved waiting in sanctuaries and rescues, for homes to be cared for properly and loved.
PLEASE do your research and educate yourself before adopting, they are a lot of hard work but so worth it if you do things right and do what is best for them.
After all, we have our friends, our jobs, and our hobbies, they only have us💗❗️❗️

I never thought that watching a couple of birds, although beautiful and bright, would be so relaxing. I have always loved Gotcha and Letty but never realized how something as mundane as eating spaghetti noodles could help me refocus on my own issues. Thanks guys.

Not really. Dry pasta breaks incredibly easily for everyone and pretty much everything. Not saying parrots' beaks aren't mighty. They are. Very. But breaking dry pasta into pieces isn't a particularly impressive showcase of that power.

Oh my gawsh!! ❤ I have been a fan of Gotcha's for years! I remember when you got him from your brother. 😍 One of my favorite videos of Gotcha's is when he gets so upset when your dad leaves after hanging out with you guys. Also, do you still have your sporty race car that was purple?
There is so much going on behind those eyes. I think these birds are amazing, and absolutely beautiful.❤❤❤ They both look so clean and healthy. It's nice to see someone who takes such good care of them. I haven't been on here so long, congrats on the new addition to your family, and Oliver has gotten so big.

Of course. Made from semolina. Either uncooked or cooked, most parrots love spaghetti.
These two would be right at home at my house - I have never ever cooked a pasta noodle that one (or more) did not end up on the floor! Hope the family is well!

Letty is a girl
African greys often don't even get along with members of their own species. Gotcha is a cockatoo, from the far east (Australia). Letty is an "old world" parrot. They are not even remotely related. I explain to people that you cannot just put them together like exotic fish in the same tank.
I think it's more that Letty doesn't like Gotcha.

Gotcha is very nice and talkative, but the gray parrot is notoriously the most intelligent of the psitaccids, and I never see any videos of him talking or interacting with you. I've had one for 30 years, and I can tell you that he learned many words and associated them with the context, he recognized us in the family and called us by name, and if he wanted, for example, an apple, he asked "give me the apple".
