This video gives me hope that I can somehow get into UCLA. I currently graduated High School a couple of months ago, and I'm planning to attend community college, and then transfer to UCLA. I'm a bit anxious about this conceptualization, considering that my High School G.P.A. was a 2.6. Hearing others who were fortunate enough to attend UCLA through transfer, who have also gone through something remotely similar gives me an iota of hope...
It’s so cool that you made it through your cc with such a high gpa… can you make another video about how it was at the cc and how you studied? I am about to go into cc in spring and my goal is to get into lab, but there really isn’t that much information about it on social media 😢
GIRL I'M FINDING OUT FROM UCLA TOMORROW HELP 😭 (your videos always come at the perfect time) definitely about to get rejected ✋✋ buttt I'm not going there so thank goodness :) community college is honestly a great option!! I feel like they don't emphasize it enough at my school that there are other options other than a four year school 🙄 I didn't know they had a guarantee program - that's really great! UC Davis is my second choice cause of how close it is to home 😅
omggg im wishing the best for you! fingers crossed 🤞🏻cc is honestly is such an amazing option, u save a lot of money and still get such a great education! i hope you're able to get into the school that you want, so excited for you! ☺
@@ReneeLai awww tysm!! You are literally so kind to me 🥺🥺 I ended up getting rejected from LA (RIP) but my first choice is cal poly SLO and I got in so I'll be going there :)
@@CaitlinLee OMG THAT'S AMAZING!! CONGRATS, u should be so proud of yourself! im so excited for you & everything you're gonna experience in the next few years ☺💕
Thank you for making this video. Funny and informative! Our family is going through admission results this year (2024) and also hearing from other families. It seems to be similar to your experience. It’s astonishing to see rejections even with strong high school transcripts. It helps to hear how you handled it!
@@sailuvijl6621 you just need to go in with a good mindset which I didn’t have. I think it’s a great school but it’s a very small town. I felt super isolated. My hometown is Los Angeles so I’m just used to more. But there are super great things about Davis like the nature, farmers market, great people, etc.
Hi Renee! I love your insight on UCLA, and congrats on getting accepted to 3 of the UCs you applied to! It's history made, after all ;) I'm a freshman at Cal State LA, but I plan to reapply to UCLA, UCI, UCSB, and UCSD. May success come to us, all API students! I subscribed btw :)
awww tysm!! i wish you all the best when you reapply to all those schools, fingers crossed you get into your dream school (hopefully ucla hehe) 🤞🏻. no matter where you go, i'm sure you'll do amazing & go so far !
@@ReneeLai Periodt, gurl! :) You’re amazing as always! If you don’t mind me asking, could you read my PIQ’s? I’m writing them and I need somebody to leave me feedback. If not, it’s okay! ❤️
Did you take any Honors courses or where you in the Honors Program at the CC you were in before you transfer to UC? Do you think taking honors courses contribute a lot to getting into the UCB & UCLA???
Did you do any extracurriculars? I just submitted my UC application and I’m worried that’s gonna affect my chances of getting into UCLA. I just volunteer 5 hours a week and tutor 5 hours a week right now.
that's great, don't undermine urself! during my 2nd year in cc, i only worked part time as an accounting assistant. i had done more extracurriculars when i was in high school, such as peer mentorship and volunteering at special need clinics. so i wrote those down in my application since UCs are understanding that students would be more focused on grades rather than extracurriculars since your time is more limited at a community college
I am currently attending a cal state but my dream school is UCLA. However, I am already going to complete my sophomore year this semester, Do you think transferring to a community college for my junior year and doing the TAP program would be a good idea to get into UCLA for my senior year at least. PLS if anyone can assist with this question that be so helpful I am so confused on what to do lol.
yes i most def did consider! i wanted to double major and do 3 years at ucla (and to also make the most of my college experience). but unfortunately the school tries to enforce students to graduate "on time" to maintain their graduation rates, so i wasn't able to stay longer.

Thanks so much. I didn't actually think of transfering until I got rejected by UCLA on Friday. Now it's pretty much my goal.
totally understand how it feels, but u got this! fingers crossed that you're able to get in the second time around 🤞🏻
