MCU didn't do him justice, he is nothing like Superman in the comic, yes he has eye beam(not heat vision) which he can shoot out of his hands and body too, infact lots of cosmic being has eye beams like silver surfer, Odinforce Thor,Ikaris,sersi, Thanos, Galactus etc... I don't think this is supposed to be indicating a crossover or anything like that, I think it's just a reference, but it is really cool that they confirmed DC Comics exists as a fictional franchise in the MCU. Its a nice way to reference DC without fucking up the Marvel canon.

In-universe it can be pretty much identical to their actual adventures, like Thor, The Fantastic Four, Captain America, etc because public identities, with secret ID heroes they usually keep the hero aspects right but make up the secret ID's
