    Did you notice you get different rates of throw depending on the mode the gyro is in? I found a little guide helps stop the very thin control rods from flexing too. Like the prop mods might have to have a go!

    • @A.M.-RC
      @A.M.-RC  3 месяца назад

      Yes, travel is different in the different modes, pretty much the same as SAFE in E-flite planes. I did think about some guides for the rods as well, it feels a bit mushy but I wasn't sure if it's the radio or the control rods.

    The tripple blade looks good and running cold is perfect. May even be able to prop up a little more but seems to handle great!

      @A.M.-RC  3 месяца назад +1

      Yeah, it's a bit harder to get these small props in different sizes plus being 1s there's not much to play with in terms of power. I'm pretty happy with it, just need tail steering and a proper radio.

    Ohhh well done with the modifications Alex. Now you will have to cut in some flaps. Why do they always put power lines on the runway.👏👏👏

    • @A.M.-RC
      @A.M.-RC  3 месяца назад +1

      Flaps would be good, it lands a little fast. At least now I know it can take a crash.

    • @yobrojoost9497
      @yobrojoost9497 12 дней назад

      Flaps, eh? Mmmh... you'd have to split the ailerons and add a servo. Not sure if the stock receiver and transmitter would accommodate for that.

    Nice work on the prop change, the 3 bladed prop looks and performs better, you were so lucky she did'nt get caught up in the power lines....jeff.

      That would've probably been the end of it if it got caught. Lucky me it's pretty bouncy 😄

    Excellent video! I have this one in red, it's very easy to see in the sky. I broke the nose a few times in crashes so I beefed up the fuselage with two nose-to- tail carbon fibre strips. The next weakest point was the motor mount so I reinforced that with a metal plate, formed into a casing under and behind the motor. Then I braced the landing gear to the carbon strips, it kept bending, very annoying. It's now pretty much bullet proof. And then I went a little crazy and made the tailwheel steerable! It works perfectly! The mods added 14 grammes to the take off weight and didn't noticeably affect the centre of gravity.

    • @yobrojoost9497
      @yobrojoost9497 12 дней назад

      To test the difference in thrust between the props, you could tie the tailwheel to a set of scales, with an L shaped lever to get downward pressure, and see how much it pulls.

      I wanted the red but after 3 weeks of waiting I switched to blue, it was in stock. Extensive list of mods you have there. The steerable tail wheel is something I need to do for sure.
      And you are right with the thrust test, I might need to do it.

      @@A.M.-RC i removed the tailplane, took out the tailwheel, tried to straighten the wire but it broke so I ended up with a shorter but straight wire. Drilled a hole through the plastic mount and made a lever out of an old heli tail rotor, which I then connected to the rudder servo. A tricky job but it worked out perfectly. Note: to get a sharper turn, use the advanced mode on the transmitter while on the ground. Before take off, I always switch to stabilized mode. Hope this helps.

    I ordered the rtf kit for my son to become his first rc airplane. But what battery can fit the battery compartment? Would a 1S800mAh fit in it? Would a rating of 20-30C constant drain suffice? Nice review, thanks! Cheers, Ken, Finland

    • @A.M.-RC

      Thanks for watching and commenting!
      I just tested if my Spektrum 800mah 1s would fit and it doesn't. As far as discharge I'm sure 20C would be enough, as much as these ratings can be trusted.
      Hope your son has fun with it, it's not the best plane but it sure is durable and the price is great for what it offers.
