    Awesome. Direct, realistic. No playing about with the hands with unrealistic techniques that give students a false sense of confidence that could cost them their lives! These concepts should be applied to any system that you practice.

    I'm IMPRESSED! You are doing the exact right thing by deflecting the blade AWAY from the body and going after the person holding the knife! This is much safer, and once you take out the person holding the knife, there will no longer be a threat! Very smart!

      Gelir kardeşim, gelir.. Niye gelmesin? Geldik. 🇹🇷🕋🕌🤲💪🤍❤️😊

    I think there is a big issue particularly on internet forums and such that everyone thinks that one style or system is superior to another. Everyone seems to be very protective of their style or system and i think the real truth comes down to the way the individual applies his or her knowledge. I can tell you from experience that ALL martial arts have valid principals. I am currently studying Wing Chun and i find it's principals to be very effective and very applicable in live situations.

And when you see that your opoonent knows how to use a knife you have no chance!

    @Aikiarts101 ye man i studied Aikido too, back in Glasgow, Scotland for a while. Still remember a lot of the throws and wrist locks. Your chosen style is your choice never let anyone diss you for it. I'm learning and teaching wing chun in China now but I still appreciate other arts. Stick at it cos you will regret it later. I studied karate when I was young but gave up...I regretted it and went back to it when I was 22 along with lau gar kung fu later followed by wing chun.

    Wing Tsun and Escrima are effectively a joint organisation (although there are definitely separate escrima organisations) the organisation is called AUWETO (Australian Wing Tsun and Escrima Organisation) If you are in America or whatever sub out Australian for your country. Escrima is taught at the higher student levels i think student level 8+ in Wing tsun, and the quality of the teaching of escrima in my opinion tends to vary in wing tsun depending on the instructor's knowledge of it.

    @OmarTV 14 лет назад

    No worries :) The one thing I always tell my students is to never take anyones teaching as a final decision. Take from all, use from all, always be a student. In my practice and teaching combat, we usually go for an immediate grab to the base of the weapon as we strike towards the throat or vital areas, doing that you control the pull of the attacker and you immediately disarm. If you do not disarm, the attacker might get back up and get you from the back. Take care and keep an open mind.

      @plamenzlatev1206 2 года назад

      and he will cut you up , you didnt watch closely what Sifu Boztepe was showing in this video , if you try to disarm or grab the weapon , it only takes the attacker to pull the weapon back and change the angle and your are already cut first time , you think that after few cuts you will be alright ha ha funny dude

    the noises he is making is simply blowing out air(breathing) something boxers and kickboxers do alot, if u dont do this you would be out of breath in 2 secs, and if u meet more than 1 apponent you dont want to be out of breath after the first one goes down.

    @TheThesamuray yeah i do aikido as well and thats what i thought your suppost to get on the outside of the knife/attack thats how to do aikido techniques properly the attacker was able to hit him because he was on the inside im tought to go on the outside away from the other hand.

    @JayDeLamar I've used Wing Chun in many live situations and i've gotta say i have found it to be very effective but it's fair to say that not everyone reacts the same way in a live street situation. I think the biggest mistake people make in the martial arts is thinking in terms of 'self defence' too often. I have many years of front line security behind me and so too does my instructor and this certainly helps when understanding how to apply the principals. But yeah ur right he's mean!

Stay away from the knife at all costs. Run away 1st. Then if you cant run, fight and break his legs, arms, hands whatever. BUT Stay away from the knife

    The best protection against a person wielding a knife is an knife or a blunt object to create distance. A gun would be better but you could risk injuring innocent people around you. Most attackers will not attack you like you see in these demonstration videos. You also dont know anything about you attacker(fighting skills, on drugs etc...) the best training tool for knife drills is a marker. Reason being, you can see the the marks that could otherwise be deadly cuts without getting hurt.

I've never done it but my mum does, shell be taking her black belt grading this year. Well if your new stick with them, they may seem boring at first because it's stance work followed by endless punch drills but it's all needed and it pays when you start to learn the cool stuff like pressure point strikes n stuff.
