Capitol Attack Wasn’t the 1st Violent Incident in Congress

- The Jan. 6 Capitol assault was not the first violent incident at the U.S. Congress. According to Yale historian Joanne Freeman, “The caning of Charles Sumner, which happened in 1856, is pretty much the most famous violent incident in the US Congress.” Freeman is the author of “The Field of Blood: Violence in Congress and the Road to Civil War.” She told Inside Edition Digital, “Between 1830 and 1860, there were at least 70 violent incidents on the House and Senate floor.” #InsideEdition

The fact that we can compare to 1860’s is horrible. We move on as humans, but have we evolved? I think as time evolves, humans get greedier and greedier for more wealth and power.
But if BLM done this all of a sudden the National Guard, FBI, Swat Team would be on the scene immediately.
there was no national guard, fbi or swat in the 1800's, so that shouldn't be compared
