Fun fact: Mr. Twitty could've been a professional baseball player and almost was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies straight out of high school. However, the Korean War started, he was drafted and lost interest in playing the game & turned to his other love, music. Kind of one of those "what-if" situations.
Ladies and gentlemen, Mr.Conway Twitty
Yo what are your thoughts on thin crust pizza?
@@travisray2934Thin crust pizza? No thank you. I’m from Chicago.
@@johntyson I take offense to that but, you're Julius Pepperwood. I'll let it go.
@@travisray2934 You’re the first person to catch the pseudonym.
@@johntyson That's unbelievable too, especially with all the memes and fans that show has lol love it though
If you want to hear Conway's range, I recommend "It's Only Make Believe". If you want something more upbeat, try "Red Neckin' Love Makin' Night". That's a really fun song.
70's Country music was unreal. It was my first love of music as a little kid listening to my mom play her albums all day. Conway, Crystal Gayle, Tanya Tucker, Ronnie Millsap. It goes on and on. Great era for country music loaded with great songwriters
Love Conway Twitty and can’t lie, family guy introduced me to him 😂
This song was on the Jukebox at Waffle House and it had a scratch on the cd and would say Hello Darlin Hello Darlin Hello Darlin Hello Darlin Hello Darlin Hello Darlin so I would put in a couple of dollars and play it on repeat when we left LOL!
😂
Oohhhhhh. That is so what my friend would do.
LOL
You'd been out partying first right
Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man with Loretta Lynn and Conway. Fun little song!
Conway was a young rock and roll singer....then he turned country.
This was the signature song of the man known as "The High Priest of Country Music."
The world ain't the same since you left Mr.Twitty....RIP
Johnny Cash’s cover of Hurt is so haunting.
Maybe "Linda on my Mind" for another Conway Twitty song. Such an interesting texture in the old country songs: sure, melodramatic, but rather adult life themes, often contradictory of doing something really wrong, and looking for personal redemption for it I suppose.
Linda Ronstadt "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" "Willin'" "Long, Long Time". "When Will I Be Loved?"
Conway Twitty "Don't Take It Away ". It's amazing how he can fit many different genres.
Fiddles and steel guitars and country music when it was still country
Y’all have to do some Merle
Haggard!!! Please! He’s the greatest story teller in country music!! Irma Jackson would be a good place to start. It speaks to a lot of today’s social issues!!
Almost all of Conway Twitty songs are about sex. But classy. Try I'd Love to Lay you Down, Slow Hand, I don't know a thing about Love, Don't Take it away. All great songs.
Linda on my mind is another.
Haha! Good to know
You've never been this far before
Take the hand
Those two have some not so subtle innuendos but they're still loving
That's My Job is a great Conway song.
"it's only make believe" is another fantastic song from Conway Twitty. Definitely check out "That's My Job" with your husband, that's a tear jerker for sure
He sang it with love an compassion, right from his heart 💜!
This was one if not his first Country Hits. He began his career as a Teen Idol. And was a competitor of Elvis'.
LOVE Conway Twitty!!!!!
Vern Gosden, "If She's Gonna Do You Wrong, Do it Right"
Conway Twitty That’s my Job
Its only make believe is amazing and happy birthday
Pentatonix sound of silence,hallelujah
Marty Robbins: Don't Worry Bout Me, Don't Let Me Touch You, Some Memories Won't Die
I have always Conway...especially a song called 15 years ago
Hello Darlin was Conway's signature song
2 of the sexiest voices in C.M. Conway Twitty & Marty Robbins. Conway knew how to write & sing a love song. Try, "You're Never Been This Far Before", "I'd Just Love To Lay You Down", "Saturday Night Special", "That's My Job." You will love any song you choose. He has soooooo many. And then you have his duets with Loretta Lynn. Old school, Classic Country at it's best.
Was brought up on Conway. He was my great grandmother’s cousin on my dad’s mom’s side of the family. Definitely agree with others about you needing to listen to his duet with Loretta.
My mom's favorite song. 🥰
He's singing of his times in the 50's, you didn't have to do anything really bad back then... Bad then is common place today.. Bad today was for the most part unheard of back then...
Great reaction, you are a official a country girl you can't stop i now.
For the saddest country song of all time - George Jones, "He stopped loving her today".
Good but Chiseled in Stone by Vern Gosdin is a real tear jerker.
"That's my Job"
Prep the tissue for that one
Just heard it a second ago
This was great. Thanks. Maybe try You Ain’t Woman Enough to Take My Man. By Loretta Lynn
Conway was the ultimate ladies man. Gone entirely too soon. You should react to Conway and Loretta Lynn singing you're the reason our kids are ugly
Old Country music right there
Please keep going...Country’s respect and good manners will be refreshing.
I’d love to see some reactions to Willie Nelson! Pretty much anything by him. Always on my Mind is a particular favorite. He has a great video with his son singing with him called Just Breathe. Fantastic musician!
Listen to you've never been this far before by conway twitty, he says, idk and idc what made you tell him you don't love him anymore bum bum bum. I grew up hearing his music all my life. All the older country like this. His songs are so full of feelimg and meaning, conway made the best love songs.
I love this country journey you are taking.I’m a 52 year old Metal head but grew up on country.Check out Randy Travis-3 wooden crosses,Brooks and Dunn-Believe and Jamey Johnson-My saving grace. All emotional songs but amazing!
Conway Twitty. The rose
Conway Twitty the best friend a son ever had
Conway was very smooth,. The ladies loved him
I grew up on Conway and country but I love Rock and roll, well anything but rap.... Anything by Conway is good but try It's Only Make Believe, also Conway and Loretta Lynn
Conway....wow, this man wrote so many very suggestive songs. How he got them on the radio is beyond me. His voice! You would like the story of:
That’s my job
Because he knew how to go right up to the line of what the stations would accept. He never got vulgar, but his suggestive words were clear to almost anyone.
Master musician, his song tight fitting jeans is a great one.
Some other great ones are “the want to” and for SURE “That’s my job”
When the music started, she introduced it by saying "Let's go" ............LET'S GO??!!!!
Doesn't she it should be " Laydees and Gentlemen- - -Mr Conway Twitty"!
(Don't worry about it, TNT, if the penny doesn't drop right away, ask around!)
:-)
Classic gold country..
Smooth...❤❤❤
I love the way he sings i went to see him Oklahoma City i dont reamber the year i love his songs
That's the ringtone on my phone!😁
The greatest song that man ever did was that's Only Make Believe that's it cut and dry everything else can we run out the back door. There's not a better song Final. Although he had a lot of great songs all depending on the mood you are in. Joni please don't cry is a favorite of mine because that's my mother's name. But It's Only make-believe Believe is write-up. awesome
I'm not sure of the singer but the song ' country bumpkin ' is a must react. Ty!
Cal Smith I think!
I'm a new subscriber
I'm loving this country music series! You should try some Reba McEntire (Fancy or The Night the Lights went out in Georgia) and some Loretta Lynn (pretty much anything she does!)
came on the seen after Elvis went to Army
That is old country and good...
its according to a person's heart
❤️❤️❤️

George Jones. He Stopped Loving Her Today. Your welcome.
great song - no doubt
Sure,set her up...lol
I lived at Twitty City and I'm so done hearing that song haha!
I lived in Conway, AR. He wasn’t that prevalent there. But it was kind of cool for my cousin who was a rabid Conway Twitty fan. He had a serious head injury and afterwards he fixated on Conway Twitty. I am sure if he didn’t live in Canada, my cousin would have traveled to Conway and Twitty City. God bless him, he has since passed on but every time I hear a Conway Twitty song I think of him.
@@cicirex4095 I'm talking about twitty city in Hendersonville, Tn. Then TBN bought it and now mike Huckabee is there.
@@Hatingmeisconforming That must have been a headache with all the tourists.

David Hilder-End of the world is coming
Check out Ward Davis "Good and Drunk"
There was a movie with Ann Margaret and a young singer in the movie with the movie name Conrad Birdy bcuz Conway was kind of a sex symbol starting out.
Modern stuff is really good. Try pick up man. Older but modern country...fun.
Please react to it's only make believe by Conaway Twitty.
Girl listen to more classic country. You'll love it.
Gene Watson: Nothing Sure Looked Good On You
Hi, hey play El Paso by Marty Robbins
If you want to get a real feel of TRUE Country music; it has th be pre 90's, and then some of the 80's started to stray away from true country. 50's, 60's, and 70's country was, and is still the best. Let me know if I can help lead you into the real country songs.
How about some Buck Owens and the Buckaroos
I do some rap js
Next up please - Patsy Cline.
The beginning was muffled it's the most Iconic part of the Song.
"Reuben James", "I'm So Used to Loving You", and "Will You Visit Me on Sunday"... three great Conway Twitty selections for you to check out
Look I just got to ask okay I get a thrill out of watching all these reaction videos but I have to ask and I have to wonder as many of us are but won't ask her maybe they do and it never gets put up here I'm not sure, but why? Why the sudden interest and all this white people music and please don't get offended but after all these years and all that music out there separating white people from black people other than kids growing up with a b**** against any other kind of music other than rap music because that's all we have heard from that Community for years because that Community I was she has no interest whatsoever in any kind of white music let alone Elvis Presley or most every other song I've ever heard on here yeah all that rock and roll this that and the other and everybody's all like oh my God where have I been living under a rock I've never heard this before this is f****** awesome! I never knew! Really? You want to know something more honest would be to say I never knew all you white people had it like this and what we were missing in the black community and how music really does go both ways. I like a lot of the black music up until the time come along and I couldn't hardly understand one word of it oh, my daughter loves it ask her what it's all about what the hell are they saying? Suddenly I'm an idiot. So I have to wonder and no offense is this a formula to get white people like me to stay wow after all these years they're finally hearing all this music for the first time because you can what understand it? It really has a message to say? Well you know what there was Motown and all that had a lot to say also and everybody black white brown everything they love to hear also music ate supposed drive people apart it's supposed to bring them together and chances are we're not as different as we think we are. I don't give a damn Who You Are the message some of that other music puts out is not good it is not positive is there is only to rile people up.
He was SO CREEPY!!!
Please react to Don't Cry Joni and The Rose not really sexual I promise
My second ex wife would positively swoon at the first words of this song ..."Hello Darlin"
He did a duet with Loretta Lynn titled "You're the Reason Our Kids Are Ugly" kind of fun ...
The new pastor was going door to door inviting people in the neighborhood to church service on sunday. He rang the first doorbell and the gentleman of the house answered the door.
Conway, Conway Twitty !!
No sir, I get that all of the time, I'm pastor Smith and I just wanted to invite you to church on Sunday.
Oh, ok I will be there.
The pastor rings the doorbell at the next house.
The lady of the house is in the shower. She grabs a towel and runs to the front door. She angrily opens the front door, looks at the pastor screams, and yells Conway Twitty.! The towel drops off and the pastor says..." Hello Darlin."
It is a beautiful song. Have you listened to "Play it Again" my Luke Bryan? That's a good song.
