    Great video! In the same category it'd be wonderful if you did a tutorial like this on snow, grass and their combination. Pretty much covers every ground we will typically use.

    • @Narutofan9993

      Great! A further idea on snow/snowy grass can be daytime vs nighttime external lightning (e.g. how sunlight vs incandescent lighting from inside a house affects the material) I see you already have exterior night render on the list, this might work in synergy with the upcoming videos.

    Great content as always! Can you do a video on VRay proxy, worklow, and VRay proxy materials management? I've been having issues with re-using proxies, importing them into new files - their materials often don't load properly. Thanks!

    • @ArchitectureInspirations
      @ArchitectureInspirations  6 лет назад

      +dhillman88 gotcha! I'll do a video on proxy.😄 How are you reusing proxies, are they something you've exported or are they proxies from another model?

    • @dhillman88
      @dhillman88 6 лет назад

      I usually create them from a file I've worked on to be re-used on another file if I like them. It would be cool if you can show how you manage your proxies, organizing materials, and if there's a way to edit the proxies geometry and materials once you've exported them (or do you have to just overwrite your old proxy)?

    Thank you for this Tutorial - really appreciated. Question related to the proper procedure for sizing textures here..when originally applying wet ground Material to surface I don't see the binding rollout in your Wet Ground material. What should its setting be ? When I have set to Auto I don't see texture or Texture Helper in Sketchup. If Texture Helper is selected, texture helper shows in Sketchup but scale of texture changes in VFB. Custom Mode for me is the same as Texture Helper Mode both for preview in Sketchup and Scale of Texture in VFB. Do you scale the original Asphalt Texture in Sketchup before hand or not at all ? (thus scaling only the Wet Ground texture in Sketchup) In Auto Mode Sketchup does not allow me to scale texture. Scaling the Wet Ground texture in Texture Helper or Custom Mode doesn't get rid of the tiling as well as scaling the original Asphalt texture. Can u please clarify best method for scaling the Asphalt and Wet Ground texture and say what Binding Mode should be used for Wet Ground texture. Vray Next MacOS 10.12.6 Thank you

    Hi! Thank u for the practice tutorial; I followed each step and I could render my project in the best way that I desired. Just one question. When you created the blend material and applied it on the reversed surface, you were able to change the settings of the material by the edit in sketchup. I can't find the Default Tray; I suppose it's caused by a different version of SU on Mac. How I can change the settings then? The wrong scale between surface and water spots compromise the quality of the render. I'm sorry for my bad english, I hope you've understood everything.

    Chaosroup needs to update their material workflow. Unreal engine is taking over when it comes to material blending. it would be too cool if we could connect displacement or vector displacement directly to a material and pipe it through blend material. Nothing has changed since years in vray.

    • @ArchitectureInspirations
      @ArchitectureInspirations  6 лет назад

      Ahh I see, you're doing Interactive render with GPU, yeah if you're using GPU with interactive, there are a lot of things that aren't supported so the image might not render correctly. I think they fix most of it in vray 3.6 but for 3.4, displacement might not work with GPU and interactive
