Did you like my effort breakdown? Was there anything you'd have liked to have known more about the climb/road/area? I'll keep it in mind for the next one!
Try it from Maentwrog. It’s basically at sea level all the way up To stwlan. Only a couple of small flat parts to add to the one at the middle Of stwlan.
@cavachons.youtube587 that's the route I took, it's almost never ending , the climb up to Ffestiniog was a shock... I did it as part of the Brailsford way if you know that route ?
Massive effort there, Ed! Congrats on the KOM the next day ;) The welsh police don't need to bother with speeding violations, officer sheep (one of them) will take them out xD 0:27 When Ed does half his FTP while off the bike. ^^' Ps. 6:47 Cross-chaining? :O
I’m like the discussion on tactics for the flatter it. I never know whether to maintain power or back off briefly. You know you have made a big effort when you get off the bike. Did it today. Greta effort.
A bloke called Chris Hall is cycling up Stwlan damn 33 times a day for 7 days this week! Which equals cycling the hight of mount Everest every day, he is doing it to raise awareness for mental health
hi ed. i enjoy voice-overs of climbs, especially when its a climb i haven't yet done: its good for visualisation techniques. if thats the type of climb you enjoy, i think you need a short break to the heart of the north pennines killhope cross/chapel fell/crawleyside etc. you'll see some of them in tob on 10th sept👍
while i agree the tailwind doesn’t help propel you forward on a 10% grade climb, it does help by cooling you during a hard effort and doesn’t have the negative effects of a headwind as minor as they are in slowing you down. Also mentally it feels much better to be under a tailwind than getting blasted by wind from the side or the front. That said this is a beastly effort and love the commentary!!
