    Interesting video, a video of the calibration with that kit would be interesting to see how its done. Thanks for the videos, I’m learning a lot that is helping me set up my theatre. I wish you were in Western Canada.

    Interested to hear what you think of the muse. I have the Act 4 and it’s really fantastic. The fact that it’s also great in 2 channel was a huge upside.

  • @hdmoviesource

    Can you manually calibrate your speaker system with the room correction or are you handcuffed by an auto calibration? Basically can you plug your own PEQ measurements into this?

    • @HomeTheatreEngineering
      @HomeTheatreEngineering  2 года назад +1

      Hi. Great question! This is probably the Acurus greatest strength. I am waiting on a firmware update before we shoot the follow up but YES it is pretty much built to do just this! It’s a real DIY/geek unit and you don’t need to do room correction at all. You can apply your own PEQ to each and every speaker. So REW and off you go :-) !

    • @hdmoviesource
      @hdmoviesource 2 года назад

      @@HomeTheatreEngineering yeah, anyway to import from REW? Or just manually have to enter PEQ filters?

    Have you tested enough of the other “entry level” processors to compare this unit to the more wallet friendly offerings from companies like Emotiva, Monoprice, Yamaha, Tone Winner or Marantz to name a few?

    • @HomeTheatreEngineering
      @HomeTheatreEngineering  2 года назад

      That’s a really good question. In honesty no we haven’t tested enough entry level processors but then again I wouldn’t consider the muse to be entry level. It’s a power users AV Processor

    Is there any chance you boys can do an extended review of the Benq W5700? It would be greatly appreciated, and me as an east coast Aussie would like to hear your honest thoughts 👍👍

      Have you seen this video from 2 years ago ? ruclips.net/video/3ULYe68J3IE/видео.html The W5700 is a great projector. Extremely capable but only really for smaller screens say 110” or less if you want decent light levels

    • @bryanp4827
      @bryanp4827 2 года назад

      @@HomeTheatreEngineering yes i have seen it ( a few times actually lol ) but was hoping for something more in depth if possible...oh, and my screen is 110 inch

      @@bryanp4827 Hi Bryan we are unlikely to revisit the W5700 as another video but it would look great on a 110 in screen. Send me an email or phone me and I am happy to go through any details. What did you want to know about it that we didn’t cover in the video? We actually have an unused one in our showroom 2 which we can go over and we are selling that as well. ..

    Hi boys, at least I'll give you your first like on this one, but I have a slightly off topic question. I'm considering a projector upgrade, and although Barco is but a dream for me, I'm thinking of a Benq X 12000 or similar, or is the slightly older W11000 still a great model? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated 👍👍

    How does this compare to the Yamaha Aventage CX-A5100? Will it change my listening experience in a dedicated home theatre? I have a 11.2-channel Dolby Atmos setup.

    • @HomeTheatreEngineering
      @HomeTheatreEngineering  2 года назад

      We have not compared the Acurus to a Yamaha (which is discontinued at least here) so in fairness I can’t comment. My issue with Yamaha and other AVR is that they often have too many bells and whistles which provides too many opportunities for people to mess with settings intentionally or otherwise plus you pay for features you don’t need or use…What we like about the Acurus is every cent goes into just great processing..

    • @HomeTheatreEngineering
      @HomeTheatreEngineering  2 года назад +1

      Hi Yes I replied to someone else with a similar question. We had a few issues which Acurus have leapt on and are building a new firmware mostly for ASPEQT I think so we said we would wait for that and that software should be ready tomorrow !

    • @HomeTheatreEngineering
      @HomeTheatreEngineering  2 года назад

      No, it doesn't the reason being there was simply not enough demand for Auro-3D which meant increasing the price of the unit apparently.
