@ronaldbautista8654 You need to "ground" your amplifier through the turntable ground...... Im guessing you dont have an electrical problem, but carpets that create "static electricity" (that zapp you feel through your finger when you touch an earthed product). These amps "earth" through the neautral, and dont have a "dedicated earth" which could cause "ground loops" which subsiquently cause hum or distortion.... Long story short, eart your amp but you could get hum or distortion, or change your carpet..... Hope that helps 🙂👍🏻👋🏼
I love that you go through the speaker layout configurations! Also as auros 3d has failed marantz could have used the extra ports for 17 as you said! Oh well, fingers crossed for 9.4.8 in the future! 😅
As far as me goes the 11th basic channels of DTS X and DOLBY ATMOS is my limit (and they are a lot, but the hight channels make sence). More than that, for me, is way too much.
So beautiful! So powerfull! Crazy processor! Hello Channa, can you check if its possible to run Atmos with 7.x.4 with Front heights and surround heights (Not back heights) (the auro setup)? Should be possible now.
Consider this configuration: 1. Source: Nvidia/AMD graphics card with 48 GBps port for 4K/144Hz 10-bit gaming 2. Middle man: super expensive AVR or AV processor, all of which have 40 Gbps ports for 4K/120Hz pass-through 3. Sink: new Samsung QD-OLED TV with 48 Gbps port for 4K/144Hz 10-bit gaming Why are consumers still offered slower HDMI ports on a pass-through machine when source and sink devices are already more capable? And when will AVRs and AV processors be upgraded to full speed ports, to fall in line with advancements in other industries? Have you ever asked vendors those questions? Are there any answers for the public? Thank you.
The A/V Receiver is and has always been the caboose end of the electronics train. The simple answer...they need to sell you something next year...so they will wait to make upgrades like 48 Gbps until they deem it's necessary. There are other options, like the Arcam AVR11 or higher that has all 7 HDMI inputs at 48 Gbps. I've asked a few people before and they say it's "not an issue" as we are only using a max of 40 Gbps.
@@TechnoDad There is no evidence that Arcam AVR11 or any other AVR/AVR uses full speed 48 Gbps chip. Have you measured the speed? Does it pass-through FRL6 signal? We have not heard that any current AVR HDMI chip is able to deal with 48 Gbps signal. Those who are saying "it's not an issue" must have missed the fact that even new TVs from Samsung QD-OLED line-up offer four 48 Gbps ports for 4K/144Hz signal, plus Nvidia, AMD and Intel grpahics cards that can output 48 Gbps signal to capable dsiplays.
Not for $7000 with this high inflation, someone has ample money lying around anyways they don’t care . If this was for $4500 out of the door then definitely most people would have got it
Thank you! No, I didn’t use AI. I created the intro song and edited the intro to my song. Honestly, I’d have to do an A/B to compare the two pre-pros. It’s too hard to go off memory.
Digital technology implemented in top-of-the-line AV processors (of different mass producers like top 3 in the world - Denon, Marantz, Yamaha) has to be like in top-of-the-line smartphone producers ( like Huawei, Xiaomi, Samsung, Apple, Honor). Because it will become obsolete in just a few years. In 2023, I don't want to buy ooold, obsolete technology at an unjustified cost! Only the newest and best-performing components has to be used. Unfortunately, this is not the case... In regarding only to the audio side of the Marantz AV10... My level of expectations at 7000 USD (or even more) is that I need one AV unit to sound like a flagship stereo, on ALL channels... BTW... Be honest... who is using 15 channels configuration in a living room? Or kilometers of wires for zone 2 or zone 3 connections in which the end result is to play same music, instead of separate very good quality audio components in those rooms? We are not talking about hearing the same music in corridors or on an elevator of a hotel... Sabre DAC ES 9018 used inside AV10? Why not at least ESS 9039Pro or AKM4191EQ? Or a dedicated very low noise stereo DAC in dual differential mode per each channel? As a top-of-the-line product in 2023, it should have! And where is HDCD decoding? Audiophile CD format is not dead, SACD is not dead, Dolby Digital is not dead... Even vinyl is not dead, and in 2023 we still not having a decent phono preamplifier for both MM and MC cartridges in a top-of-the-line AV processor... In the audiophile community, we are still spinning HDCD CDs, SACD discs, DVD Audio discs - and for HDCD, we need that decoder. Also...we are in 2023, right? ...where is streaming and decoding native DSD1024 audio files? I want to see ultra low noise separate power supplies inside of a top of the line AV processor... This is the level of quality that I expect from a Marantz or Denon AV processor flagship, in 2023. RCA connectors are made from gold-plated brass? This is NOT desirable, because of brass low conductivity. It should be made at least from silver or gold-plated OFC copper (again... I'm modest...I'm not mentioning pure silver-made connectors...). I want to see OCC pure copper or OCC pure silver wires used in inside cabling! Talking further...what OP-AMP are used inside? No info here... Also, no info regarding SINAD with EQ in flat mode at max output volume. I want an upscaler even from DVD definition, to 4k and 8k resolution! Also, who is really using HEOS?? Especially in this high-end area... McIntosh is having same marketing policy... No detailed info in regarding inside components used, and no tech info regarding audio performance in their top-of-the-line AV processor... Only high prices! With all due respect for these companies, this is not acceptable.
I agree wholeheartedly.......... its appaling, and i will vote with my wallet untill they bring out tech that we need.... also no support for 144hz displays and only 40gbs pass through not 48gbs which everybody else is using...... Audazee upgrade 200$ Dirac upgrade (upto 500hz) 350$ Dirac upgrade (full frequency) 500$ Totally unacceptable (especially considering you need a windows 10 laptop (+ 1,000$) and a usb microphone, crappy umk1 cost 88$ + microphone boom arm at 20+$)........ Unacceptable 👎🏻.......
hey man - im just finishing a 5.4.6 auro 3d setup, in one of your other videos you say that they tell you to have the back speakers as surround heights, but you suggest doing surround back heights because then its also atmos compatible , what if i ONLY use auro 3d upmix and never atmos, would you still do that , or would you go with the recommended surround heights.
Price is crazy for this. Should be $5k. Anthem avm90 all day for this kinda money. Also marantz needs to watch out for integra. D/M has increased prices to much for there brands.
Same can be said for the AVM90...no Auro-3D either. I hope Anthem updated the GUI as my MRX720 was pretty bare bones. I think all these companies are using "inflation" to charge us more.
@@junior-OG hmmm this processor is the flagship like the 8805. I think the next pre pro would be the AV20, which would replace the 7706. I keep my comments and follow guidelines what happened is that when I make a comment that is true you guys don't answer me back. You only answer the comments that agreed of what you are saying.
Is amazing how you reply to other people and not me , you know why because is true what I'm saying , read what I wrote and tell me that I'm wrong. There's no blueray dvd that output more than 2 atmos speakers or a streaming company that stream on more than 2 atmos. You talking about 8 dolby atmos , really. All those receivers that has more than 2 channels for atmos is a waste of time and money. Is like 8k tvs , tell me who output 8k, nobody so why you buying an 8k tv. See what im saying. Is like arc only give you simulation of atmos but earc give you the real thing. If you don't answer me is ok I know I'm right. Bless.
What's amazing is people like you think you have the right to my free time. Considering I have four jobs and I just started a new company and fullfilled over 600 orders in the passed two days. Maybe...just maybe, I have better things to do with my time. To answer your question, no. You are wrong. On the consumer side, I've gone from a 5.1.2 to a 5.1.4 and that upgrade was huge as you actually get front to back movement in the height channels. Then I went from 5.1.4 to 7.1.4. After creating over 160 Atmos tracks and mixing Atmos for a couple of years, I've come to find out that the ideal setup would be 7.1.6. And contrarty to what you belive...Atmos is Atmos, wheater it's lossy DD+ or lossless Dolby TrueHD. I have created a 9.1.6 Atmos mix and delivered it in both DD+ and Dolby TrueHD and it works correctly. 8K...yeah, that's BS...Atmos, however is different.
Let me ask you something mr dad, name me a blueray dvd that output 8 upper channels. Is like 8k tvs name me a blueray DVD that output 8k or any streaming company that output in 8k or 4 or8 upper atmos speaker. They don't exist. You can have 50 atmos speaker but you only here right and left or up center combine with left and right. For example if a helicopter is up on the right you here it on the right atmos and when is on the left on the left atmo and the copter is in the middle upper you here the sound above your head with both atmos combine. So why buying receiver in something that is not here yet. Now they making 12k tv why in the hell fore. I think you guys are misleading the people about this 8 upper atmos receivers. Are you serious. I want you to send me the name of the movie that output 4 or 8 dolby atmos sound , all you need is 5.1.2 channels. Maybe 10 years from now we see every company outputting 8k and 12k and a 100 dolby atmos sound. Have a nice day.
Atmos is not about channels. It is about the number of sound objects. More channels (speakers) equals better positioning of sound objects. Consumer Atmos limited to a smaller number of sound objects than commercial cinemas.

Hi Techno Dad! I’m sorry to bother you! I have a YAMAHA DSP AZ1 and I get shocks if you can please help me what you do so that no more shocks every time I touch my receiver? I’ll patiently wait for your response. Thank you and God Bless!
@ronaldbautista8654
You need to "ground" your amplifier through the turntable ground......
@@mohammedisaa9952 thank you sooo much for your help! I appreciate it! Have a wonderful weekend!
I Guess These Are Like The Monolith 7 Amplifier And Or Emotiva???? And If So, How 🤔 Much Is Power 🔋 Wattage Per Chanel per????
This is a Pre/Pro, so you will need a multi channel amplifier for this to work.
@@TechnoDad Like My Denon AVRX6700H Right????

Lol!
@@TechnoDad Who the F needs 16 channels to enjoy a film? Is this the new channels war?
We NEED that SCART lead..... upscale the audio and picture..... perfect avr then 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
I love that you go through the speaker layout configurations! Also as auros 3d has failed marantz could have used the extra ports for 17 as you said! Oh well, fingers crossed for 9.4.8 in the future! 😅
Auro’s main usefulness is enhancing movies in Atmos and DTS that have poor or only fair immersion.
Thanks! I think it's very interesting looking at how many ways you can configure the AVR.
As far as me goes the 11th basic channels of DTS X and DOLBY ATMOS is my limit (and they are a lot, but the hight channels make sence). More than that, for me, is way too much.
Yeah, I get that. I think 7.1.6 might be the way to go for most theater rooms, but only if you have the room.
Sir you back

So beautiful! So powerfull! Crazy processor!
Hello Channa, can you check if its possible to run Atmos with 7.x.4 with Front heights and surround heights (Not back heights) (the auro setup)? Should be possible now.
I did see the surround height option!
I purchased the AV8805A and about 4 months later this one came out. 🤦🏻♂️
Yikes!
Me2!
Consider this configuration:
1. Source: Nvidia/AMD graphics card with 48 GBps port for 4K/144Hz 10-bit gaming
2. Middle man: super expensive AVR or AV processor, all of which have 40 Gbps ports for 4K/120Hz pass-through
3. Sink: new Samsung QD-OLED TV with 48 Gbps port for 4K/144Hz 10-bit gaming
Why are consumers still offered slower HDMI ports on a pass-through machine when source and sink devices are already more capable?
Nottttt gooodd i need all 17 speakers to work together 😂😂😂😂
Right?! LOL!
Forget the channels or features.. for this sort of money one can truly get a high-end sound
Not for $7000 with this high inflation, someone has ample money lying around anyways they don’t care . If this was for $4500 out of the door then definitely most people would have got it
Just 8 height channels 😂 I want 15!!!
Lol!!!
I like emotiva
Your editing is on another level , are you using AI ,also I have not heard anything about how the av10 sound . how does it compare to your av 7706.
Thank you! No, I didn’t use AI. I created the intro song and edited the intro to my song. Honestly, I’d have to do an A/B to compare the two pre-pros. It’s too hard to go off memory.
New design, number of extra channels, new connectors ,other this it's same 8805A..
Yeah, pretty much…
Av 10 has 17 out,
Amp 10 has only 16 in !!???!!!???
LOL! Yup!
@@TechnoDad 8805 has 15 out, 2x 8077 has only 14 in !!! Why??
And here I thought I was done buying processors when I bought the monolith HTP-1 ! You suck technodad! Making me spend all my 💰 😂
LOL! You don't have to buy anything, Chris!
Audazee upgrade 200$
Dirac upgrade (upto 500hz) 350$
Dirac upgrade (full frequency) 500$
Totally unacceptable (especially considering you need a windows 10 laptop (+ 1,000$) and a usb microphone, crappy umk1 cost 88$ + microphone boom arm at 20+$)........
Hi Bruce. I would still use Rear Heights as opposed to Surround Heights.
I think all these companies are using "inflation" to charge us more.
i think the replacement of the 8805 is gonna be 5k
@@junior-OG hmmm this processor is the flagship like the 8805. I think the next pre pro would be the AV20, which would replace the 7706. It will be less capable than this 19ch processor (15.4), but to your point somewhere between the 8805 and the AV10. I’m looking forward to a Cinema 30, which would be the flagship AVR I’m guessing? Something between to replace the 8015?
@@HiFinest343 the av10 do not replace the 8805 it is a new tier
av20 = new 8805
av30 = new 7706
@@TechnoDadthere is webgui on Anthem. Besides StormAudio and Trinnov I believe it’s a next best gui you can find. Anthem does measure very well and uses the latest top ESS DAC as well - higher end from Marantz. It would be very interesting comparison - which one does better job. On the premise of Sound United one day updating Av10 with Dirac Art - I would bet on it
Opinions are like hondas everybody got one.

You're deluded and have no idea what you're talking about. Make sure you keep taking your meds bro😂
Hey TD, I'm looking at this or the Anthem AVM 90. Both around the same price. What to do......
