The Yonga Trail - a 2 day hike just north of Perth WA.

A friend recommended me to this trail in September as it was relatively close by. It can be done in one day being just 26 kms however there is a hut and tent platforms so you can also go slow and enjoy the scenery.

The Yonga Trail is a walking trail in Mount Lesueur National Park, located in Western Australia. It offers a great way to experience the park’s rich biodiversity, featuring wildflowers, wildlife, and scenic views.

Distance: Approximately 26 km return (its a loop so can go either way)
Difficulty: Moderate to Hard
Scenery: Stunning coastal heathlands, limestone ridges, and panoramic views from Mount Lesueur.
Wildlife & Flora: The park is known for its incredible variety of wildflowers, especially in spring, as well as native animals like kangaroos, echidnas, and diverse bird species.
Best Time to Visit: Spring (August-October) for the best wildflower displays.
