Welcome to my model railway video, showcasing Danbee, which I filmed at The Southampton Model Railway Exhibition on 26 January 2025. I have several more videos of this exhibition on my channel. Please feel free to subscribe: ruclips.net/user/UKImmigrationLawGeek Thank you!!!
05:00 - Thank you so much for showing these people who are working so hard to keep the trains running. It is just lovely to see those who have been involved with this layout. They should be proud 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀!
The following information is from The Southampton Model Railway Society's programme: "Danbee depicts a fictitious Great Western Railway branch line in the 1930s, somewhere in the West Country. At this period in time the "Big Four" railway companies were very competitive, trying to maximise their share of the market in passengers and goods traffic. It was, therefore, very important to have a distinctive and individual colour scheme to identify the different companies - today we would call this branding. The Great Western Railway in particular will always be remembered for their iconic green locomotives, with polished copper-capped chimneys and polished brass safety valves, name and number plates, together with the chocolate brown and cream livery of its coaching stock." "PECO track has been used for this model, with the buildings being either scratch-built or from the Skytrex range of kits. Locomotives and stock are mostly from kits with a few locomotives being from the excellent ready-to-run ranges that are now available from various manufacturers." Yes, they should be proud. I do hope that they get to see this so that they know that their hard work is appreciated.
