I think the squish he mentions is coming from the overwound pickups being run at authentic (i.e., LOW) pickup height as recommended. Don't know much about JC wound pu's, tho. When run so low, my Texas specials do similar things, lose bass and dynamic feel. If i run them too high, the TS get too percussive for some, but I like it. It ends up a balancing act, I run them at various heights based on the type of day I'm having...

Hate it when they slap ridiculous prices on guitars...all your doing is pricing a lot of people out of the market...more power to the people that can afford it though
This guitar is probably better than the original that it is trying to imitate. It's funny how vintage strats are assumed to be so much better. In actuality a lot of them were junk...I have played a few of these and they were wonderful...better than average. As far as value...meh...whatever people are willing to pay.
Message to Wildwood: Bring back the Tone King Imperial amp, or any good quality 6v6 amp circuit. As listeners we need to hear an exceptional clean tone...something that el34 amps DO NOT provide. You guys forgot to list the amp being used in the demo, sounds like the Friedman 50 watt, but can you please verify this???
One of the most talented guitar player around, but the tone is not good as well. Always thin on clean channel and too gainy and dry on overdrive tones.
ALL THE STRATS AND TELLY'S GREG DEMOS SOUND THE SAME....And most people can't hear much difference or could care less, so after a while these vedios become boring and redundant in my opinion.

Scotty- The clean tones are, indeed the Tone King Imperial. Dirty tones are a Friedman Small Box 50. Hope this helps!
