FYI, do not stop if you hear ribs breaking, in fact, moat if the time, ribs are broken during chest compressions, but compared to survival, its a small price to pay.

Well, now I know the science of cpr. Our health class was required to take a 30-minute class on it. I think it should have been more time. 30 minutes didnt teach me anything

I had CPR once and my chest hurt for days. Not pleasant. But saves lives so can’t complain!
I never knew; very important to know how your own actions can make sure that someone survives, from the inside out makes it a more pressing matter, IMO. It makes it so much more *real* IDK why, but it does!
Think all schools should have mandatory first aid and CPR training... ridiculous that so many are hopelessly inept when a situation arises, and all people would do is whip out a phone to record instead to record while screaming "someone call 911!" while they're recording ON THEIR PHONE...
Even low quality chest conpression is better than no chest compression! Don't be afraid!

In several 1st aid classes, they said to not be surprised if you break a few ribs, in fact they said to expect it. The way the explained it to me is, if I was too afraid to break them in doing CPR, then the person would definitely die, but if I stepped in and did it, they could live. I think the law protects people who do 1st aid, as long as you're only doing 1st aid. Good Samaritan laws i think they are called.
I feel like watching this video says a lot about me cause my though was, okay, so now if my brother is not breathing and his herat stops working, i can hopefully act, probably not confidently, as someone to keep him alive until help arrives

Just for my own education here, but doesn't a regular heartbeat exhibit two pumping actions? I could be wrong as it's been a while, but if so, how do chest compressions work since the pressure on all four chambers is happening at once? And is there a risk to the valves during chest compressions? For example, is there a risk to blood being pumped out of the heart in both directions with a weakened valve? I know the odds are probably small and that it's worth it to do the compressions as a life saving measure, but I was just curious

@@PantherJaguar false. I believe mi is stoppage of the electrodes (caused both naturally and by outside assistance/poison etc.) heart attack is blockage of the blood vessels (naturally)?

how fast is 100 cpr per MINUTE?
look up songs with bpm 100-120, there's a ton and that'll give you a good idea
