I’m 63. I started saving and investing at 45. I will be retiring Dec 2025. I now have enough to retire. My house is affordable. I learned to live below my means long ago. Sacrificing the wants and only spending on needs wasn’t easy, but I’m glad I did.
Saving this video to watch with my 16 yo who just got her first job. Getting ready to open a Roth IRA for her and taught her how to balance her checkbook and how to allocate her paycheck. The plan is to make her a millionaire by the age of 30!! Thanks Jaspreet!!
More foundational videos. I’m a newb. But I need to get this right cuz I’m 52 and got nuthin for retirement. But I’m starting now! I like you man! Keep ‘em coming!
Once you lock into a set budget like this 75/15/10 rule, life is so much better. It's never too late to start. Never. 40, 50, 60. You have to just get started. People can literally change their whole lives and situations in as little as 18 months by just budgeting simply like this. No matter your income. Huge fan of what you teach.
@@chucalissa9231Not 60 percent. He's saying whether you are 40, 50, or 60 years old it's never too late to start. The percentages are: 75% spend; 15% invest; 10% save (until have e-fund, then invest this 10% too).
More foundational how to build wealth, save, budget and investing please. I"m just starting at 58 and really need the help! thank you so much for your videos, they are a treasure trove!!😊
Building wealth from nothing involves consistent saving, disciplined spending, and strategic investments. Begin by creating a budget to track expenses and identify areas for savings. Prioritize paying off high-interest debt and establishing an emergency fund. As you build a foundation, start investing in low-cost options like index funds, and focus on continuous learning and improving your skills for better income opportunities.
Impressive insights! For beginners like me, managing and staying updated can be overwhelming. Are you an experienced investor or do you have a strategic approach for staying informed?
That's quite remarkable! I'm genuinely interested in benefiting from the guidance of such experienced advisors, especially considering the current state of my struggling portfolio. May I know the name of the advisor who has been assisting you in navigating these financial challenges?
Thank you for the information. I conducted my own research and your advisor appears to be highly skilled and knowledgeable. I've sent her an email and arranged a phone call. Her expertise is impressive, and I'm eagerly anticipating our conversation.
Foundational videos are useful to remind investors that it’s important to focus on long-term goals rather than instant gratification and get rich schemes. Including, financial responsibility and money management.
Absolutely! Even though I've started 75/15/10 and find it pretty simple to adhere to, it's great to hear these lessons again to stay motivated to keep investing whenever a recession may hit.
Yes to all 3 questions. Videos that take a bit deeper of a dive. These foundational videos are good though, good for a reminder that you/we are on the right track, and good for sharing with family and friends to get them started.
How to invest for teenagers, young adults. How to prepare or setup financial goals like 529 for the kids’ future. Thanks so much for your videos! Love that you keep reminding that we should not live beyond our means
Thanks for your channel I have improved my financial knowledge. I pay myself every Monday towards my emergency fund, spending account and my investments. I tell my colleagues about this concept as they always complain about the amount of tax that is being taken out of our pay per month.
I have a paid off home. This was the biggest step that helped me get to the next level with investing. Buy a cheap home and get it paid off ASAP. I am saving and investing about 60 percent of my income now... and I never had a great salary. Just lived cheap.
That's what me ans my brother are doing because the properties in my area skyrocketed since people are moving here from California and fleeing the other big cities near us
I love your videos 📷. You never sugar coat. You tell it like it really is. Your video about people buying beyond their means just to impress others .... So true! Thank you for your no nonsense approach You tell us the reality, not a fairytale.

Hi Jaspreet, thank you so much for all your educational videos! As a relatively new student of finance, and a person trying to get ahead financially on a single income of modest means, I personally would love more videos teaching me how to do that! Learning to invest, navigating paying off debt, saving, and long term planning are the things I really benefit from. But you already do provide great material so keep doing what you’re doing please 😁 thanks again!
My friend I'm in the republic of South Africa, and I can confirm that I'm in a category of all those people who live by pay cheque to pay cheque. You know and quite frankly speaking, learning from financial management experts like you will always libarate me from brokenness and financial crisis.😲🔥
I earn 41k a year and I live off of $240 a month right now, but it's primarily because I live below my means and prepay all my annual expenses at the beginning of each year, including my rent (which is low) in advance. All of my expenses are fixed, so that makes it easier to do. Plus, I don't carry debt, and I pay off my credit card balances IN FULL whenever the bill comes. I don't fall into the minimum payment trap/game. I'm not starving or struggling financially either. If you're a married couple with or without children or single, what I just described can be done. The unfortunate reality is that the majority of people will not make the sacrifice or curtail their lifestyle, even temporarily, to do it. It will prove to be too "painful" and inconvenient, so they will continue to struggle and complain about living from paycheck to paycheck.
I'd be wary of paying a year of rent up front. I don't trust other people that much. I would rather put that money in an account I control and have the rent come from it, than put it in their account and hope they don't sell the company and misplace my rent.
More videos on all those topics you mentioned at the end, please. But especially foundational financial education investing, and how to build or buy businesses. Thanks!
Love your videos and content overall. Coming from an immigrant family myself, videos like this means alot! Please make more videos on what's going on in the economy and how to build a business from scratch. God bless.

Financial planning and retirement strategies are crucial, especially in today's economic climate. With global economic fluctuations and uncertainties, it's essential to have a solid plan in place to protect your financial future.
It's crucial for individuals to diversify their portfolios, seek professional financial advice, and stay informed about market trends to navigate these challenges effectively.
Agreed, I've always delegated my excesses to an advisor, since suffering major portfolio loss early 2020, amid covid outbreak. I'm now semi-retired and only work 7.5 hours a week, with barely 25% short of my $1m retirement goal after subsequent investments to date.
Lol. I hate tax. 1) I work and they tax my paycheck 2) I go spend my already taxed money and they tax it AGAIN 3) Then they ask me to pay property tax on top of the money I already been taxed once. We are basically getting double taxed for the money we earned. The only thing you don’t have to pay tax on is your coffin when someone is dead, I found that out when I bought a coffin. 😅
Could you please create a video tutorial that guides individuals with limited knowledge of investment strategies? The video should provide practical advice on safe investment practices, including actionable steps to take and recommended investment avenues.

Agreed, I've always delegated my excesses to an advisor, since suffering major portfolio loss early 2020, amid covid outbreak. I'm now semi-retired and only work 7.5 hours a week, with barely 25% short of my $1m retirement goal after subsequent investments to date.
Working with professionals who have expertise and experience in the market can provide valuable insights and guidance to navigate volatile times.
Love the videos! I'd like to see more content on how to build a business or what type of business to build as a beginner.
Lol. I hate tax.
1) I work and they tax my paycheck
2) I go spend my already taxed money and they tax it AGAIN
3) Then they ask me to pay property tax on top of the money I already been taxed once.
We are basically getting double taxed for the money we earned. The only thing you don’t have to pay tax on is your coffin when someone is dead, I found that out when I bought a coffin. 😅
Sadly when that someone is dead laying in the coffin and they owed taxes, the IRS will still come for it depending on who is the next of kin
Way more than double taxed if you really think about it
No. Standard deduction exists
This is the realest advice EVER! 🔥🔥
The rent is too damn high.
And it won't be coming down anytime soon despite who you voted for.
It depends on where you live. I live in a MCOL area and it is around 1300 from what I've seen here.
ROOMMATES, everyone wants everything fast. I had roommates well into my 30s until I was able to afford my own place.
I pay $2k for a studio brother, keep grinding 💪 no option other than work work work
Foundational, I'm absolutely not a beginner but it's good motivation to keep going.
I shared this with my son I hope he will not only listen to this, but practice it. It's so hard to get to him.
Thanks!
Refreshing and honest this guy. What a nice change
I've watched so many videos finally this breaks it down in terms I can understand thank you for this!
Could you please create a video tutorial that guides individuals with limited knowledge of investment strategies? The video should provide practical advice on safe investment practices, including actionable steps to take and recommended investment avenues.
I like all of your videos: podcast/interview, foundational, taxes, rental stories, investing, market updates, etc. I guess you bring back videos asking the general public questions. Whatever you do, I am here to watch. Now hit the like button "below" 😁
Thank you so much for the another knowledgeable video. Please create series of videos like this, step by step, gradually moving to next steps in life..
To answer your question at the end, I’d love to see more of everything! I think an even rate of each video would be ideal.
Yes to more foundational type videos with examples like you share.
Fantastic basic info! We need to hear it straight forward like this more often.
I'd love to see a video on IRA/Roth IRA for those in their 40's/50's/60's. We know starting early is beneficial, but what if you didn't open an IRA early in life and now you'd like to start investing. Is it worth it?
More videos of examples of what etf's, index funds we could research.. Rick Ferri only invested in 3 funds throughout his career. I would like to hear your take on that strategy.
Jaspreet I’m a big fan of you from Australia. I love all your contents. Very knowledgeable. I love to watch more videos like this and more about real estate. Thank you
This kind of videos are the most helpful financial education. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge
I like watching your videos as they are motivational and inspiring and I plan to follow your advice!
This is the best video to start with in the year
I'm self employed and trust me, taxes piss you off much more when you actually have the money in hand and have to pay it all at once. I could've bought gold or s&p etc ughhh its very aggravating lol.
Foundational videos, videos on retirement and money. Thank you.
This was awesome. Thank you. More videos like this on fundamentals and basic financial education- better than stock tips.
Financial tips and tricks would be great. Like legal tax loopholes- children accounts. More videos for families and how couples should be investing for their kids
Absolutely love your content. At 53, I am scrambling to learn about investing (yes, I know, very late to the game..) But- better late than never. I would love some advice on how to start at my age. Thank you!
