TheBroadwayNerd 0715 Even if you’re not charging for tickets, it’s still not legal to perform the show. Be careful because if the company who owns the copyright finds out, the organization could get fined
@@anerdwhowritesessays9931 Still illegal because you're performing somebody's work without permission. A revue featuring a song or two is fine, just not the whole show.
She did great, I hope the production company gets to see this, When they were in Greensboro, the national tour.... there wasn’t a dry eye in sight during the second act. I’ve never cried so much in a long time.
I can hear some audience members crying
lol can you hear me though the screen too?
I’ve seen this live, when the National Tour was in NC. I lost it during this scene. Haven’t cried so much in ages. This group though did beautifully

First of all, good job! I have a question: did you perform the whole musical? If yes, where/how did you get the rights for the play?
Just preform it for free and don't make people pay for tickets, it's not illegal then, I'm preforming it and that's what I'm gonna do

It's a revue, so they probably did numbers from various shows. Totally fine to perform a song or two from one musical.

That moment when the description says "Revue." They didn't perform the whole show. That's illegal.

Mother..
You have to get rights for a highschool play?? That’s stupid.
It’s copyright, and before it was a high school play, it was a Tony-award winning musical
