Trying to learn my new convection oven that I've had for 20 day's today & have ruined two NY style cheesecakes a day apart, then 2 - 9x13 glass bakers of yellow butter cake this evening. The meat I've made, whole chicken, pork loin, & rump roast have all turned out well. I'm going to keep baking til I learn what I need to know.

Convection is the best way to go if you enjoy baking. Definitely worth the extra money.

Would convection be used for making jerky? Sounds like it would work great

Thanks for the video. What is the difference from microwave? I do not want to use radiation to cook the food. Is a convection oven use the same heat source as conventional oven? Thanks.

A microwave is not dangerous. OMG it's using"radiation" to cook! In this context the term radiation has no connection whatsoever to something nuclear, it's electromagnetic radiation. Do some research. It's only a big electro magnet that flips polarity at a very high frequency (in the gigahertz range, juste like your cell phone), hence the"microwave" name.

      all heat is radiation
microwave radiation spins water molecules and causes friction which heats your meal, you aren't irradiating your food in the way you're imagining
