    • @Abbaas_
      @Abbaas_ 3 года назад +2

      Do we have to know Arabic before seeking knowledge of Islamic subjects e.g. Fiqh? I'm currently studying Madinah reader book 1. Is it possible to study Islamic sciences while still a beginner in Arabic and who in my area (Harrow) (who is upon the sunnah) would be able teach me even though it is very hard to find places to study Islam in my area (especially during COVID-19)?

    • @AH23232
      @AH23232 3 года назад +1

      @@Abbaas_ No. Seek knowledge in the English language (a good place for this is Kalemah/Madrasatu al-Umariyyah with Abdulrahman Hassan) while learning Arabic. You need to do both. If you leave seeking knowledge until after learning Arabic, you're gonna be waiting a while. Plus, not all sciences require knowing much Arabic. Do both at the same time and you'll be successful inshaa'Allah.

And one the most important things is knowing arabic we see for one arabic word people translate in english more than one word , one who knows arabic understands better and he will get chance to benifits from the scholars of this ummah whether it even be online in the starting , many important books are not though in english online.

Also check out Muhammad Huzaifah on RUclips inshaa'Allah, as well as Abdulrahman Hassan on his usual channels (Kalemah, mainly) and you can start learning from there. But having a personal teacher is much more beneficial inshaa'Allah. Hope this helps.

      Make Dua to Allah(SWT)
      Have a qualified teacher , if you want a women teacher , there are many online
      Always Revise
      Start small , Build up
      Surround yourself with people that will encourage for deen
      Stay away from sin
      Understand what you are reading , not necessarily learning Arabic but Arabic will benefit you
      Try to memorise in the morning after fajr , ulama’a belie this is the best time , however if this doesn’t work for you , find a better time
      Also find a good place where you aren’t distracted

      may Allah (SWT) make it easy for you and for everyone else memorising for the sake of Allah (SWT)

    The conversation abt going to Uni should not be based on making Hijrah but on the basis of seeking knowledge as a British passport would no longer get you the big job in Pakistan.lol..gone are those days.....they'll want to know what you are capable of. The point people are missing is that it is extremely important to gain secular knowledge and use the discipline gained in that practice to also help better the Deen., for instance the logic and the knowledge built by learning computers (as an example) can be easily applied in learning Arabic Grammar ( Verb Forms and how they are structured). A computer reacts to rules , and Arabic grammar is built on rules -- in either case a single mistake and you wont get the output you want. The more we Muslims progress , the better we create an impact in the world... I am nowt a scholar but as it is said is Surah Asr " Watawasaw bil Haq" it is important to enjoin people in the spreading of knowledge. It is my opinion that we are oppressed as Muslims also because we do not entertain the concept of gaining wordly knowledge and also the knowledge of the Deen (which is primary ) and then use that knowledge to then invite people to the religion and also to get a better perspective of the fact that although the world has made technological progress in terms of Artificial Intelligence and ML -- these are really insignificant when we look at what the Quran suggests in terms of the human brain. sorry ,long post but I think those who just profess that Islamic knowledge is alone sufficient are the ones who in my opinion say "the grapes are sour". May Allah guide us all.. Totally enjoyed the discussion. Jazakallahu Khairan.. i just look at India and how much progress it had made on the secular knowledge front yet a lot of the people are distant from the real truth ... Why dont the Islamic countries or the Muslims also make progress along the same directions and make the world as more secure place for everyone?Food for thought..

    May allah reward you both for this podcast. So beneficial and agree with the points.This has been an topic that really needs to be addressed as it is belittled because majority think this form of studying and seeking knowledge can’t be done when it can be. Personally, listening to the things mentioned, it did relate a lot to my experience because at times in the past I would question if I am the only one doing this because no1 I knew for a long period of time in university had this same idea as me. Gradually over the years I got to know a few brothers that had this same mindset as me and hearing this in a podcast was even better Alhamdulilah. I would say I learnt this idea of seeking knowledge and studying the hard way having failed a year in university and not being allowed to go back for 6months along with other obstacles.Hence, I don’t want people to go through the path I went through yet allah made a way out for me with his mercy. No matter what university you go to their is fitnah even if they are the best at teaching your degree. A big misconception out their is that a good uni according to the league table means that I’m safe with my religion.Think again about your state of religion before going uni as the brothers in the video mentioned. Something that did not cross my mind when going university. Currently as a final year student in my 5yrs of uni with a 1yr work experience,Alhamdulilah, allah has given me the strength to work part time, study on a new degree maths & statistics, get career experience, seek knowledge weekly with a revision group, have a Quran teacher and train at home weekly. This was done gradually and consistently whilst planning ahead. Allah mentions in [13:11] he would not change the condition of the people until they change the conditions of theme selves. This is key as I made one sincere change to change my friendship as the primary root cause after I failed my 1st year and other obstacles in my path. since then, what I have been doing until now( mentioned above)with allah permission was beyond what I had planned and could imagine.I strongly advice those who are IN university currently to seek knowledge straight away and do not wait any longer as mentioned in the video. Do not try to seek it one go because you will lose it in one go so make it a big priority for the rest of your life as part of fulfilling your purpose in life to worship allah alone. Be consistent and build up gradually. Ask allah to guide you and not turn you back to your old self from the great dua in [Surah Imran: 8] and never settle after a while when things do progress because your old friends are eager to bring you off track. They want to see you slip up yet they are just afraid of what you want to become as a student of knowledge. Eventually with allah’s help and one’s self being sincere, they will eventually respect you and leave you alone at the very least. Even then don’t relax and keep progressing to your new fullest potential. Learn the etiquettes for seeking Islamic knowledge because secular knowledge and Islamic knowledge are completely different and require a different approach to benefit from each. I did not know this straight away but realised through general advice from my teacher.This would prevent your Islamic knowledge becoming just theory and seen as a subject when it shouldn’t. Our secular studies is theoretical within itself so it will condition you to become very intellectual in your field as well being over critical & logical to everything. This is my opinion. I’m saying this as it did start to overcome me in my passion for seeking knowledge at one point.These are good skills to have in worldly affairs but don’t base your understanding of Islamic knowledge upon this as we don’t understand it according to our own intellect ,logic and critical judgement. Rather the understanding of the pious predecessors.
    As extra bit of motivation, my grades did not worsen. Since I have been making this change, Allah has put a lot more blessings in my time and studies. my grades are reflecting that as I am currently between a 2:1 to 1st overall with half a semester to go until the end of university. Before the change I was getting below the pass mark of 40% and doing resits which were stressful and still failed resits.
    Finally, I heavily support the brothers that education is not the only way for success even though I am in a degree. Even for those with degrees, be opened minded and explore new opportunities. You’ll be surprised at what you can learn.
    May allah grant us beneficial knowledge in the deen and the dunya. Ameen.

    Look very hard for me to believe ppl finish Quran within 2-3 yrs never hear such. Even the bright mind will take 5-7yrs. Your way of teaching if wi take this long, you need to create programs so everyone can have access. Count me in inshallah to pitch in for this great cause of sedqajaria!!
