I am Italian, and I felt the altitude for no more than 5 days after that I felt like a Bogotano and I was living there for 1 year, which was the maximum I was allowed to stay in the country. The people were very friendly and from the Bogota airport you can travel to any part of Colombia and the world easily. The water is drinkable in Bogota and you can drink from the tap, the rumba excellent and beautiful women as in all Colombia, I hope to come back soon!

Thanks, because I knew that Bogota is at an elevation but I never considered breathing problems due to its elevation.

I noticed it for the first few days, then it got better, but I really had a hard time in La Paz, Bolivia

Hi Bro, Yes Me too! I like Borgata, but the altitude was terrible! The coca tea helped but, I will not return there or any other high altitude place like Quito and Machu Picchu. Good Luck!
