  • We were very curious what the bare chassis would weigh after it was fully welded. In this episode of our Val and Steve Morris Drag and Drive Camaro build, we show you some more details of the chassis and weigh it!!

    Hey Kevin, your laptop probably has a spinning hard drive in it based on how slow it is running. All you need to do is upgrade it to a SATA Solid State Drive (SSD) and clone the drive to the new SSD. It will run significantly faster and you don't have to shell out for a whole new laptop.

    • @realsmurph
      @realsmurph 2 месяца назад

      Also, if it is a spinning hard drive and you don't want to replace it download a program called Defraggler and run that on the laptop.

    Hey Kevin. If your laptop does not have a solid state drive as its main storage. just have someone (or like Best buy) swap you to a SSD. It'll make the laptop faster than brand new.

    On the computer, run CHKDSK on the hard drive and then defrag the hard drive before buying a new one. There are other utilizes that will find redundant files and are used to clean up the hard drive. Maybe that will put off buying a new computer for a little while.

    Pro tip with laptops. Plugging it into the wall usually makes them faster. When on battery, they slow down to save power if you don't tinker with the settings.
    Also putting it on a flat surface with good ventilation to keep it from slowing down due to thermal soaking. Think of it like retarding the timing to cool things down, it's a safety / longevity thing.

    Hey kev. Talking about dropping tail shafts. I was racing one of my old cars it was a 265 4 speed charger and it dropped a front uni and it dug into the road at a 120 mph. And it picked the car up and turned the car around backwards and I saved the car I didn’t crash it. But it broke the bal housings and gear box mount and broke the diff center off the tubes and turned it down ward. And it was a ride and my mate that was with me needed a new nappy. Poor bugger cried. But it did put the shits up me a little. But I have had some whiled rides so it was not that bad. But I didn’t think it would ever happen. And now it’s no. 1 thing on my list when building a car is a tail shaft loop. I’ve never liked having people in my car when racing because you are responsible for their lives. After that I don’t have any one with me when drag racing. But track racing we are allowed to have passengers and I take people out on the track for joy rides. I just take it easy so I don’t hurt anyone.

    I would have just used light weight steel floor pans. But if you were insistant on thicker barely lighter alum. I would of heated the mild pipe until it just barely noticibly gets to starting the sweating phase and fused alum alloy rod to it and just flow it to the alum pan no need to heat it the temp of the molten alum will heat it enough for a fusion weld after just being close to the heating of the weld.
    Guaranteed to break where the alum sheet was heated right next to the welds edge when teasted. If it takes more than 3 90 degree bends back a forth to crack your golden.
