PPG Aerospace - Case Study on Specialty Application Nozzles for Sealants and Adhesives

Every year, PPG Aerospace participates in a skills & maintenance competition for aircraft mechanics in Las Vegas, NV. Aircraft mechanics from all over the world are invited to participate and the competition includes routine maintenance procedures such as changing landing gear, repairing fuses on an aircraft engine, and avionics repair. PPG Aerospace historically has sponsored two events that highlight our product offering and efficacy in the aerospace aftermarket including: hump seal repair and seal caps versus hand-sealing of dome-style fasteners. This year, PPG Aerospace added two new events to the competition: Surface Seal and Fillet Sealing. The fillet sealing portion of the competition focused on different types of common sealing procedures and standard and special nozzles to improve the application process and the results of the competition are captured in this brief video.
