First watched this film when I was 10, I'm 31 now and still think it's an amazing and moving movie, the song in this scene always gets me, makes me think of my parents everytime.

I am so grateful that I got to see this in theaters when I was that kids age. Mendenhall is a great actor and he did the voice of one of the characters in the 1986 film transformers which was scored by Vince dicola who just finished doing the score to Rocky 4. I am very glad that I got to grow up in the 80s and have such fond memories of that decade. And the film scores were just amazing such as films like Flowers in the Attic and Less Than Zero.
Mendenhall was also in one of the episodes of the 1985 twilight zone series. The episode was called the examination or something like that where he was in the future and had to take a intelligence test and when his parents got the news that he scored too high they were given the option of having him cremated or his body sent to them. A lot of dark stuff from that decade but very full of someone of the best art
