I lost myself when he found me. When we got together, I was the happiest I’d been in my life and didn’t have a care in the world. I felt so happy and aligned with my life. It only took a couple weeks for him to start making me feel at my lowest. A couple months and I needed to leave or he needed to treat me right. I gave a chance to all his false promises and a few more months roll on by. I didn’t even know who I was anymore so I decided to get my life back. He still treated me horribly, but I was standing on my own again, feeling better each day. And just like that, he blindsided me and discarded me. Here we are, many months later and I have myself back and better than I’ve ever been, and yet, I need to know that I will find better. That I will find real love. Even when a part of you knows you will, it’s hard to keep faith when the future is unseeable and unknown.
To all of you who have lost yourselves, I believe in you- you can find yourself again. It’s hard and you can do it. Stay strong 🩵
