    Sir benjohson made the first poet laureate of England in 1616 after the death of Shakespeare but the first official poet laureate called John Dryden in 1668 .

      Correct 😊😊

      @Neerajkumarv39 5 лет назад +8

      But Sir John Dryden was only a Laureate and William Wordsworth was poet Laureate of Britain and Ben jonson was only e one who was not officially appointed for poet Laureate but he got the pension for that so here if you talk about who was the first poet Laureate then answer will be William Wordsworth and if you talk about who was the first Laureate of Britain then answer will be John Dryden because John Dryden was officially appointed for this post by Charles II

      Neeraj Kumar ji when a examiner asks the question he clarify his motive about the question . I don't say u r wrong u r absolutely right . The question was who was the first poet laureate then ans will be benjohson . And officially appointed poet laureate Dryden but when the question put up who was romantic poet laureate in 1843 then the and will be Wordsworth.

    • @Gyansingh-qu5lx
      @Gyansingh-qu5lx 5 лет назад +3

      Poet laureate means successor and big writer of his age and doesn't mind about his writing . Neeraj ji I think u have a doubt about Wordsworth because u think. Wordsworth wrote many poems instead of ben', and Dryden so he was poet laureate . At end dear we call poet laureate which type of writer who has a specific talent in his age.

    William Wordsworth is by far the best-known Romantics among all his contemporaries. He was born in 1770, in Cockermouth in Britain. Wordsworth created completely different rhetoric for his poetry that allowed every single layman to decipher it. For him, poetry is the democracy of the countrymen. The language of a Romantic poem is essentially characterised by lucid language.
    Wordsworth is the pioneer of such poetic diction. As the master of Romantics, he along with Coleridge, composed The Lyrical Ballads which is a landmark in English literary history, since it departed from the old traditions and created a completely new pattern for the readers.
    Wordsworth celebrates nature through his poems. His significant verses include The Tintern Abbey, The Daffodils, The Lucy poems, The Preludes, and The Excursion. In all these poems he places nature as the central imagery. He includes incidents of common life and relates his poetry with that. In The Daffodils, the long fields of the yellow fluttering flowers appeal to the mind of the poet.
    The rustic life is chosen by Wordsworth since it captures the eternal passion of human life and true sensibilities. Wordsworth is a mystic and a thinker, who blends poetry, spirituality, and philosophy together. He demised at the age of 80, at Rydals, Britain.
