This is my home course and played before the shut down to prepare for this event and have played about 10 times during this pandemic. There are holes where you can miss it right, land in another fairway and still have a decent shot to the green, but it’s not every hole. Just going through my head, I can think of about 4 holes. There are quite a few holes that aren’t next to another fairway as well. And the rough just can’t be explained. I played one round and lost 5 balls just by hitting it in the rough. Not even bad drives either, but to keep up the pace of play, we just limited ourselves when looking for the ball. There are a lot of trees to get stuck behind as well. It’s playing really tough right now. On a normal day, I’d shoot a 75-82 here. I haven’t broke 90 in the last five rounds.
Tree lined fairways like this reminds me of Firestone South. Guys stand up and bang it off the tee generally and find it. I don't think guys are gonna panic because of narrow fairways they are gonna grip it and rip it for sure, particularly the long hitters.
