Heard this a number of times on Classic FM, liked it, but always missed the intro with details, so much so that it began to haunt me. At last browsing thru RUclips ... I have found it. My sleep will no longer be disturbed!

Thank you so much for this song Andrew - I remember my wife she heard this on the radio one morning many years ago and ever since we loved it both so much. Sadly she passed away some 5 years ago and I had your song played at the funeral - everyone was moved by it. So now and then (such as this evening) I still listen to this beautiful piece as it always brings memories, thanks for bringing them!

At the end . . . not sure if it's spoken in German-but someone in the audience says, "Amazing!" or something like this? Then Andrew says, "You're Welcome!" Anyway, not SURE what the person in the audience said, but I like to think it was a word of spontaneous gratitude for an extraordinary piece of music. I first heard the studio version many, many years ago on SF Bay Area public radio. I wasn't even a classical guitar guy, but I just loved it. Went out an purchased the Windham Hill Guitar Sampler-a cassette tape-just to hear Andecy. By the way Andrew . . . have you ever wanted to begin a concert saying something along the lines of . . . "Thank you for all your support everyone! I know how much you love Andecy and Home, but tonight I wish open with "Smoke On The Water."

Wow, in terms of both execution and sound quality, this is so precise that for the first minute I was wondering why the studio version had been dubbed over the live performance. Of course it hadn’t; the playing here is just that good.
Since the first time I heard the song, probably in the mid ‘90s, Andecy has been one of my favorite fingerstyle guitar pieces of any genre or era. It’s just a beautiful composition. I even learned to play it at one point, but even on my best day the result was an order of magnitude poorer than this.
