I gotta say, I like the presentation and design of some of these bosses. Something about the Spurned Progeny's intro leading into that awkward uncomfortable stare he gives you when he catches your gaze really sent chills up my spine. Very well done there.
The bosses were the highlight of this game for me next to the world. Favorites are Lightreaper, Pieta, hushed saint, the knight dude who turns into a monster, and the judge cleric

Final boss seems so anti climactic. You expect a decent challenge for a final boss but this one is seems so easy and boring.
all the bosses sermed anti climactic imo especially the cutscenes most the time the boss just says with overdramatic acting the will kill you or just look at you
They did it on purpose because apparently this game has True Final Boss. Adyr is just a boring Final Boss. The True Final Boss is the actual boss fight at the end

It actually looks pretty good. Weird there are a ton of souls games now. Not just the gameplay, but the stories seem similar life and death with consequences. You would think they were made by the same teams lol.
Well there are 3 reasons why
1. It’s setting and character development and creation are easy
2. It treats game like people and not idiots
3. So dang memorable

I am a big Fromsoft fan and I cant stand people complaining on everything just because its not to their liking or saying "it not like Fromsoft games". There is no rule or protocole to a souls-like, just apreciate the game for what it is and if you dont like it doesnt mean its bad. Devs of this game are so pasionate about their game that its inspiring for me as a amateur gamedev. Game is great and I like every bossfight in this game.
it's not bc it's different from fromsoft, the game is just bad, gameplay is bad, many bugs, bad graphics, repetitive areas and horrible amount of enemies per area, DISGUSTING sound effects and soundtrack

Go play lies of P and se how a real souls-like is made. This game has objectively bad mechanics, from unnecessarily long combats, unrewarding systems like parrying to dumb boss ideas that are not build to work with the mechanics of the game.
Does anyone know if the "None shall be spared" trophy only obtainable by entering NG+ and defeating all bosses from the different endings?

I would’ve never thought lies of p would totally destroy this game This was one of my most anticipated games of 2023 and was totally let down Buggy glitchy stuttering gameplay Generic repetitive enemies The bosses were okay but they had a lot of big enemy type bosses that were mid at best My game has crashed like 10 times since being all patched Just really sad that the developers couldn’t get it right a second time with a bigger crew and the lies of p team did it right on 1 try

Lot of these guys look to easy. However, i have been loving the game. I am sad that each boss so far has been basically a 1 fight boss where i dont typically die.

Crow boss disappointed me very much. I expected to fight that guy gong for a cool boss but then just had to fight random enimies
Hexworks: creates a giant monster crow-person-zombie with sick ass ice powers
Also Hexworks: makes said monster an environment hazard that throws mobs at the player

also you shouldn't be shocked by the crow being a mob fight...they took adyr who is quite possibly the most important figure in the game and one of the few things that still lives from the first game and is the prime god of the rhogar into a mob fight, an even worse mob fight than even the crow.
Okayyy so I got a question I beat the game twice once radiant and once umbral ending so I defeat ALL bosses but I didn't get the trophy ._.

There’s a few side quest bosses you won’t encounter if you miss some steps. Kukijan or whatever, tortured prisoner, Andres of ebb dude, and damarose all have secret boss fights which weren’t shown in the video

So far it’s overall been great game but nowhere near souls games after I finished and honestly way adyr was bein hyped up and based on his anti hero lore he was easily one of my main fav characters top 5 but it really got me so devastated knowin how adyr didn’t have a phase 2 I was expecting to actually fight him but instead all I gota do is constantly attack weak ppl with annoying fire on em and thats that really disappointed how they did that feels disrespectful to this amazing lookin boss and I feel as most lores aren’t explained enough for most characters and bosses that especially seems really interesting imo I’d say light reaper was toughest but yk this game is light for me been at all souls games and got platinum troph for bloodborne, ds3 and Elden ring

Is it just me or this game was inspired by dante's inferno, blasphemous and gow? I know I shouldn't compare. I just love this game.
LotF has a ton of things that inspired it, it's got a bit of everything from the classic "medieval dark" stuff.
Most notably, the game is inspired by Dante's Inferno, Dark Souls, and Berserk. Like you said, it also sprinkles in some God of War, Bloodborne, Blasphemous, Nioh, old-world religion, and European legend/folklore.
More than anything, it's a very obvious passion project and I think it succeeds in that goal, regardless of personal opinions on the gameplay itself.

Not that there's anything wrong with that but you can see that it is inspired by that boss
There arent a lot of soulslike bosses that arent "ripping off" souls bosses. Hell, even FROM does it to themselves sometimes. Maneaters -> Bell Gargoyles -> Belfry Gargoyles. Garl Vinland -> Velstadt. Burnt Ivory King -> Abyss Watchers.
Im glad i wasnt the only one that caught that too lmao, the dialogue, the 2nd phase, and the cinematics definitely felt inspired from the twin princes

Such a terrible game. Visuals were literally the only thing it had going for it. Dropped it because the enemy spam and boring level design got unbearable.

@@laugh_n_share_life the biggest difference is that elden ring has actually complex fast/slow combos that can change depending on your actions and distance from the enemy even the normal enemies in fromsoft games have more moves than these bosses
i also feel the animations are very slow, even enemies with normal swords swing them like they weigh 100 kgs ( if gravity was also removed ), atleast in elden ring the few slow animations ( malikeths overhead, margits slow buildup swing, godfreys stomp ) have actual weight and power once they finally hit. these attacks simply feel powerless, it looks like the LOTF enemies are trying to swipe your feet from under you as a prank, then everyone laughs and becomes friends.

Something about these bosses really rubs me the wrong way. I think the perfect example is the Hollow Crow. Its design is fantastic and it has kind of a cool intro. But the fight itself is just chasing an invisible girl while a bunch of regular monsters just chase you around. They could’ve done something so much better than that and they already had an arena that would’ve worked well enough.
That seems to be a recurring theme with a lot of these bosses. Great design, terrible execution. I was really hoping this game was gonna be good before it came out, and boy was I disappointed

they where a challange the first time but then once ya know their moveset its too easy sadly. then you mostly die to stupid overpowered normal mobs way more.

Fromsoft should make a Dark Souls game but you can't see the bosses health, you just have to keep fighting till you win.
I tried that actually, a full no HUD run. It gets insanely tense, when you feel like each attack could be the last, but it never is.

That why I love Onimusha trilogy and God of War trilogy. This game bossess doesn't have lifebar. Imagine playing it back when I was still in school during PS2 days, I was like goddamn when the hell this boss gonna die! I legit turn off boss health in God of War 2018 just to feel the tense and boy it was so fun

Combat in this game is so bad, parrys were so unrewarding and boss fight way too long.
When you play something like Lies of P you can see the insane difference there was in their understanding on how to make a sols-like combat.
Its like if blasphemous was bad....
While the game wasn’t great, the art direction, enemy designs and voice acting was pretty good. It’s just sad that people will only see the bad Soulslikes and say every single one is soulless, when there are very good ones out there with as much passion put behind them as FS does. They just follow their own version (shocker to make your OWN GAMEPLAY) with their preferred art style, which I appreciate. I ain’t looking for Elden Ring 2.0
