As a JPC owner who runs real plates im always looking for something to alleviate the weight off my shoulders, and the AVS seems to be the resolution for that. Right now my JPC weighs 20-30 lbs depending on how many mags etc and its much more weight than it was ever designed fore imo.
If you want a load bearing carrier that compares to the AVS, I’d recommend the Shaw concepts Arc v2, it’s lighter, less expensive, and has great weight distribution.
@@BlaulingHD My buddy has an SPC which he likes a bunch. Dont really got much money for anything rn tho cuz almost every penny is going towards nods and ammo lmao
Thoughts on the novritsch pc? Cause I have it myself and I am pretty confident with this product, the only two thing that are bothering me are the cummerbunds , they are just loose and I like more stiffness, also the plate bags , like how the closing Velcro is attached. Could be done the other way to ensure the ability to attach like a sack pouch. And als always nice vid , and cool pc build
@@darusoen1484 first of all, thanks. Not a big fan of novritch since he just sells overpriced mid-tier gear etc. the breathabilty sure is nice, but I like using „actually real“ plate carriers because I’m into milsim. I’m not to familiar with the Novritch PC, but maybe replace the cummerbund with a structured one? And if you want a dangler, you might also like they idea of a Fanny pack (I’ll go over that in my belt kit video)
@@BlaulingHDyea the dangler thing is solved , just bought a placard and put it on the Velcro between the pc and placard . The thought that novritsch is selling mid stuff , well I agree with u here , only the pc is somewhat good ig . Maybe I will try it out on a mil sim ( don’t really got a choice cause it’s my only one for now )
@BlaulingHD idk bout y'all but I've been running an AVS with Plates, MBAV soft and sideplates for good 2 years now, Harness only and I've never felt it to be heavy. The Harness hugs me really well and I use the Crye Tri Fold Shoulders, average carrier weight has been around 10-13 kgs, it also supports a ruck pretty well. I can understand the argument for the sizing issues with the AVS it did take me quite a bit of backtraining to grow into my Medium Harness haha.
No hate but a genuine question why would you buy a load bearing plate carrier instead of a slimmer one, was it that you were ill-informed when you first bought the avs or you haven't really thought it throughly because usually when buying a plate carrier you kinda pick based on what you want it to do and how you want to size it to your body. For me I was rocking a trex arms AC1 for a while and opted for a ferro fcpcv5 when I wanted the carry more stuff on my carrier.
Love the kit, have a similar setup and really enjoy it, keep up the good work brotha.

@@cashas6969 well then shoot for the AVS, but i think AXL shoulder pads and cummerbund could also help. Maybe a SPC?
@@GorbnerGroup it doesn't really compare since no carrier can beat the AVS or CPC in terms of load distribution, but it's still a great carrier

SPC with JPC 3 band structural cummerbund and AXL shoulder pads holds the standard 7 mag load out flawlessly
