Go TIGERS !..Game 3 catch by Chet Lemon ..my gosh amazing Catch !...I lived in West Michigan back when we could catch the Chicago White Sox games..I was a fan of Chet Lemon when he played with them I was so happy the Tigers got him ...Don't know why I just knew one day he would be a Tiger ...It would seem I had such baseball hero's when I was young...Ben Oglivie I really liked as a Tiger and I was sad when The Tigers traded for Jim Slaton and Ben Oglivie was sent to the Brewers ..But I cheered John Hiller coming out of the bull pen..It was fun winning it all in 1984...Go Tigers

RIP Vin and Joe. Greatest play by play combination. Still get nostalgic when I hear them.

I saw this World Series live on TV. Chet Lemon's catch in game 3 at 36:50 has never received the credit it deserves. Not a spectacular catch but a difficult one. The ball hit straight over a fielder's head can be the hardest play.

Arguably the best MLB team of all time.

The only thing missing is Ernie Harwell's play-by-play to make it perfect.

Imagine if that 1984 team had the Howard Johnson that hit 30 homeruns and had 100 RBIs with the Mets

From the looks of it, they didn’t need him that year. Ha

Agreed. This is a superior highlight film, although the Mel Allen official video is also good. I miss Vin and Joe... and day baseball in the Fall Classic.

Padres never had a chance.....they got Hot and beat the Cubs.
Cubs/Tigers would have been a more exciting series.....and more classic.

This version is much better than the one hosted by Mel Allan.

YES! The Sparky Anderson mic'd up game 5 comments steal the show on the MLB WS film, but this one is GREAT too! Perhaps better, absolutely yes! More action, and a better preview for historical sake.
NBC should release their alternate productions in an updated format....
