This movie has really changed my view on the world. I mean, i'm sure we all knew this stuff, but the amazing high definition angles and inspiring words really help shake things up in my mind. This is one of those movies where you wake up the next morning and see everything in a completely different way. I am no longer a working gear in a consumerist machine, I am an awareness in a sea of human beings. With an equal love for life, and an equal goal of the survival of the species.
the most complete documentary I have ever watched regarding the cohesive and co-dependencies of our lives, the planet and what we need to survive. A must to watch, thank you for making it available to the world.
What?? 16,000,000 views only? This should have 7,000,000,000 views!! Everyone one this planete should have seen this! Everyone has the right to see the beautiful world they are living in. And maybe then, people will think twice about throwing a plastic bag into the sea...
this movie really has opened my eyes. what we are doing to our planet is horrible. but as they said in the movie, it's too late to be pessimistic, we have to keep what's left, and the earth CAN be a beautiful place for the coming generations, we just have to make an effort.
Please Enlighten yourselves....it is up to us to make change, not to expect change to happen alone. There are 7 Billion people on this earth, but how many are making change and how many are waiting for change to happen? Don't wait ACT!!!! Great FILM
I first watched this video with my son at the Natural History Museum in DC a few years ago. I had a visceral reaction, which brought about in me both extreme hopefulness and hopelessness before the end of the film. It is a breathtaking documentary, and I encourage everyone to watch it with their friends and family. Very thought and discussion-provoking.
same i watched last 20 minutes and this video makes me want to do something about our home and not just say but actually do something about this situation!
It stuns me that more people are labeling others than actually wanting to do something! Why do we have to continue to accuse a certain group and point our fingers? It's a beautiful film that shows an in-depth look at our past, present, and future! Just wish everybody would stop and just listen for once!
Tragically beautiful. I felt chills throughout this movie. Indeed, the informed person will know just about everything shown here, but the presentation is excellent, makes an impact, leaves an impression. The end part does serve to give hope and shake us out of fear instilled until then so we can feel inspired and act, but really, after the initial segment which only inspires awe and until the end, the chills felt were all out of fear. Fear for our future. Humanity's really gone out of control.
There is no reason to bash, judge humans, your are one of us!! What we need to do is STAR MAKING A DIFFERENCE!! Recycle, DONT POLLUTE! SAVE WATER. TEACH YOUR KIDS THE IMPORTANCE OF SAVING THE PLANET! My 7 year old sun created a club called "The Pick Up Party" I take him and his friends to cleans the parks of NYC. All we have to do i be an example and kids will follow and be innovative .
1/6 can't have access to life necessities, one being ELECTRICITY? For the rest an amazing and impressive movie! Make you start to think what is really important in life (if you haven't started on that already). Another example that visionaries are to few! They can't do it alone, we all need to be a part of the solution, not the problem!
1 month ago i were watching ,,Home'' i told for all people i know to watch this awsome movie i think now there are + 100 peoples who care about earth like all of those who watched this movie . I... You .... They ... We. i think 16 mil. care about earth and all of us can change th world
What an amazingly inspiring film. I hope humanity reaches the conclusion that the privatization of the earth's resources for lucrative profit will be the demise of humanity. The fundamentals of community and society that the indigenous and humble people throughout the world abide by, are more in tune with nature than are our "industrialized" desensitized and consumerist lifestyle we created for our selves.
One of the most incredible films ever produced. It's our story here on earth so when you have your next movie time watch this as a film. It is all shot from space shuttles, dirigibles and helicopters. All this film is shot from the skies. As a fellow human being struggling with our ever changing planet, I encourage you to see this movie as if your life depended on it. It does my friend! The stunning visuals and spectacular music soundtrack is worth the time spent :)
"For in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all in habit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal." John F. Kennedy This was breathtaking, shocking, and informative. Beautifully done. Thanks for uploading.
What a beautiful film. While I personally found the issues discussed slightly fragmented, going from water, to wealth distribution, then back to more water, the cautionary tale of the Easter Islanders is unforgettable. We have a beautiful planet, this movie, with the sound off and no snippets of civilsation, could well be a "places to see before you die" film, let's not ruin our Home.
Somebody check my math: I calculate that a total of 2,573 YEARS has been spent watching this video so far. If 1% of that time can be devoted by 1% of the people to actually contributing to a solution, I think we'd make some impressive progress.
i for one was moved by this film and i believe that we have the power to change our ways! only we wont in time! its as simple as the earth cannot keep up with "us"
WOW! The Zeitgeist changed my life. This video made me even more changed forever. I feel the hoplessness and despair rise as I watch this video and know that the people outside dont know this, dont give a damn, dont want to know, dont have time to see, dont open their eyes. what do they do? They contribute to this sensless destruction, this blind sytem, this consuming society of ignorant people, hungry people, uneducated people, who only smile at you for taking it seriously.
Beautifully made film. I'm glad it ended well or it could send a person under the covers for the rest of their life. C'mon people, change, what are you waiting for, you have the power to write what's next. Make our island better.
I watched all of that and sadly it reminded me of how humans treat them selves this has to be taken seriously i know some one who doesn't care, but if you see how he abuses him self. you'll understand This is a fundamental change. One we don't wait for begin immediately! Teach the children to respect enviroment, them selves and each other. And there lies the future. Thank you for this Beautiful film. Like Zeitgiest i'll tell all my friends!!!
Heart-breaking! "If you believe you can destroy, believe also that you can repair...." -Rebbe Nachman of Breslev Complete despair and complete denial are untenable. The only alternative is to believe that we can repair the world, and act on the belief.
By the way, one easy and helpful way you can help is by making this movie your channel's featured video. It's really one of those cases where the more, the merrier. Because, hey, do you really have anything more important to feature than a documentary about the Earth and humanity?
I recently got a question: "Which was the last film to which I cried". I can now say that this is the one. It's sad how we use the earth. One person can change all, sadly I'm incapable of being the one... Still I hope that there will be many of these persons that can change the world alone and together they shall bring our world the better future.
This project was very profound. I will share this to as many as I can as it is up to us to decide how we spend our money. Our change can change the way we operate in our world. I a very grateful for the energy everyone has given to share this amazing movie. Thank you Gwendolyne
*standing ovation* We have sown the wind, and we are reaping the whirlwind. The efforts that people are putting forward are still far, far too small. But it's not too late. No-one can do everything, but everyone can do something.
This movie is touching..it makes you think twice about what you do, it makes you wanna make a change it makes you want to cry. It makes you realize that we need to stop this before it goes too far. We cant let ourselves fade in the darkness . This is our home and it may be the only one we will ever have. I'd rather die knowing that our species will live long again then to die knowing we may be the last of our kind .
That there are actually almost 4100 people out of almost 53000 that are too dumb/lazy/corrupt to care, so much so that they dislike this movie, just goes to show how far we still have to go to get where we need to be. At least more than 10 times as much people like this movie. I love you people. There is still hope... Never lose it.
Excelent video, im sutdend of Urban enviromental design and this is a lesson to show to all my classmates, it worth to see this kind of documentals!! NICE JOB change my way to see things in the world
This is another great movie about our planet Earth, after BBC movie. I've truly enjoyed watching this amazing and qualitative video. Evident that authors have worked on it diligently. Really beautiful shots they've done during the movie creation. First of all, the main goal of this movie is to make us think about the future and past of our planet, organic and us. It tells that we've changed in that small amount of time the Earth climat and ecology in the bad way. We've to change our planet !!!
everyone should watch this movie it really opens you up to whats really happening right now stop wasting so much power change your light bulbs wash with cold water the little things help
Great film. All I can say is I'll do me bit to drive less, eat food that's not hurting the planet or the people on it. Eat less meat, spread the word... Tell my young family how sorry I am for leaving such a messed up world.... Change it's not too late...
Where have all the men gone, Mother earth asks, i don't mind, just look at my planet, how beautiful it is, They are kept in chambers, Mother earth is told, i thought it was quiet, how beautiful it is, We use them only for breeding, Mother earth hears, it is so tranquil when they are not around, how beautiful it is, Mothers mother, Mother earth rests.

love this, only problem is that is sposored buy a big companys that are part of destroying the world. still we don't change. still we keep living like we living. And nothing changes, I'm not saying that I'm perfekt or doing something. But my point is that the big company the leaders of the countrys have to change. After that can the simple human beeing do the big change.
It is scary to think that 8% of people who watched this amazingly eye opening and informative piece of art, disliked it, it's exactly that same 8% of humanity that is slowly and methodically destroying our HOME, Now lets see if that same 8% would like or dislike if their home & the people that live in it were slowly poisoned and destroyed. we could drive electric cars powered by solar energy, and light our homes with energy coming from wind farms. We could eat locally and organic instead of a $1 cheeseburger. We could go to the other side of the spectrum, the more positive one, and live from the earth and the sun, instead of damaging the same land from which we emerged in the first place.
The first part of the film was a real downer, but the later part gives hope and shows that we aren't as ignorant after all, but really smart and caring. They should put the world leaders to watch this film. Maybe it would strike some thoughts... Really beautiful documentary overall. Earth is amazing.

wow this is really a great documentary about how we changed this earth... i cant believe we did so much harm. i wish i had power to stop all from polluting out air, water, and sea.. the ones who are really going to feel this pain is are young kids of today.. who knows what 100 years from now will bring to the poor souls.. me, i love camping and all outdoors activities, and i really wish i can live this way.. but im stuck in a city that spoiled me in to so many harmful things for earth..
I believe in the beauty of a global consciousness. We need to start realising that we are one organism, one animal. We are tiny vessels of something much larger and as part of a diverse and intricately weaved system we need to make our actions co-operative in their nature. I think that this starts with the self, if you find the beauty in your form and complexity and in your consciousness then you will come to realise that every living being shares this beauty. We are divine beings, we matter.
This movie has really changed my view on the world. I mean, i'm sure we all knew this stuff, but the amazing high definition angles and inspiring words really help shake things up in my mind. An absolutely STUNNING piece of cinematography, research and passion for our planet. This deserves an Oscar!
The photography is breathtaking; the story fascinating; the message FRIGHTENING!

Everyone in the developed world should see this!! How stunningly beautiful is our planet- we need to keep it that way instead of destroying it!

The conclusion to this film reassures me of the ingenuity of humanity, testifying that we are capable of change.

Just cried for the first time in years.
It's time to wake up! It does not matter what is gone, but what is left !
One the best documentaries ever filmed !
i saw this movie in the related videos, and thought i'd watch it. 1 second decision that changed my life
Thank you very much. Everyone should be watch it. It is our history, home and our monumement for our generations.

THE DEFINITION OF EPIC !!
This video makes me realize that we are the intelligent human kind; but we dont have an habit of looking further.
This is probably the last chance we've got. If we miss this one too, like all before, then shame on us.

We have sown the wind, and we are reaping the whirlwind.
The efforts that people are putting forward are still far, far too small.

Human greed, anger & ignorance caused all disasters.
Only Loving Kindness can save the World now.
Please..!
THERE ARE SO MANY WALLPAPERS IN THIS DOCUMENTARY!

My Home Earth
Where have all the men gone,
Mother earth asks,
i don't mind, just look at my planet,
how beautiful it is,
They are kept in chambers,
Mother earth is told,
i thought it was quiet,
how beautiful it is,
We use them only for breeding,
Mother earth hears,
it is so tranquil when they are not around,
how beautiful it is,
Mothers mother,
Mother earth rests.
Amazing documentary!!!

Really beautiful documentary overall. Earth is amazing.

This was truly an amazing Movie!T
-Thumbs Up!
@sublocal very well and my apologies but im pretty sure the film, when speaking of the top 2% of the world is referring to most people living in first world countries and not just insanely rich people. what you said is almost completely right. however it is people like us a few rungs down the ladder that actually have the most power, power in numbers and power in freedom of speech.
excellent show pointing out the absolute need to get on board helping to save our great mother earth.
WOW! I can't believe I'm streaming this at 720p, I can barely stream at 360p on normal videos.

I think that this starts with the self, if you find the beauty in your form and complexity and in your consciousness then you will come to realise that every living being shares this beauty. We are divine beings, we matter.
