    Your horses are exquisite indeed when it comes to other horse breeds in my eyes nothing else compares to their intelligence, movement and trustworthiness. The Freisans are truly the kings of the horses and it is horrible to think that not so long ago this breed of horses were on the brink of extinction with only 3 stallions left to repopulate the genetic pool and reestablish the breed . Thankfully for the Fresians that people realized that this breeds population was in jeopardy and they started to reestablish the breed into the success they are today .

      So funny, my husband and I were just talking, he has never worked with horses and doesn't know much, doesn't know that Friesians are my dream, and he said, "Oh, you know what horses are just so beautiful? Those Friesians?" Lol. Had to show him this video and tell him we have to have one some day!

    Please keep posting videos. You’ve definitely got the touch. You’ve got their love, respect, and trust. I think horses are a lot like dogs...you can, if you are willing to spend the time, make a very close connection with them. I don’t think a lot of people realize what social animals they are and how close the bond between you and your horse can get.

    I don't doubt you love them, and they you. It might be greater proof of this if you do all that is done in this video without tack, rather than just a bridle-less canter around a school at the end. Then you'd see how much they really want to cooperate. It can be done, after all.

    I just got a Frisian, and am hoping to try riding him soon. What is it like, is it hard to stay on bareback? We don't have a saddle that fits him, so bareback is the only thing I can do. I hope it is comfortable.

    • @alicjakowalik4547
      @alicjakowalik4547 8 лет назад

      You can buy a Special saddle which is fitting only your horse😉 some shops do it, for example "stübben" but I don't know, it could be, that they are only in germany

    • @rodeo_love4life537
      @rodeo_love4life537 8 лет назад

      +Alicja Kowalik Thanks so much for replying. I doubt I could afford a fitted saddle though... :( but that's great advice. Any on riding bareback though? That was my main question... :D I am hoping to do videos of him. Maybe you could comment tips of them when I post? :)

    wish the whip wasnt there. you didnt use it to hurt the horse ...hes trained now but when you were first training him it had to be a threat or you wouldnt still have it.

    • @marielambert4107
      @marielambert4107 8 лет назад +5

      You don't seem to understand the purpose of a whip. It's obvious that the horse does not see the whip or the horses as a threat since they would not lie down near her otherwise.
      So instead of the whip being a threat it is a tool to give the horse a cue from a longer distance.
      For instance to teach the horse to raise its leg for the spanish walk, one could continue tapping the horses leg until it makes an effort to raise its leg and then praise the horse with a treat or just stepping away.
      See? The whip doesn't have to be something you hit with, it is actually a very useful tool, if used right.
