I have so many nice things to say, that I hope I can frame this up properly. First, great job Nathan! As others have stated, the work on the kit is phenomenal. It's obvious that you're quite talented. The artistic articulation of the song was spot on. The ghost notes on the snare, the interspersed usage of the cowbell, roto tom, timbales, etc. were placed so strategically. Finally, the enthusiasm and energy you bring to your playing is refreshing and contagious. I'm glad that I came across your channel and I can't remember the last time I was so excited to hit the "like" and "subscribe" button.

Nailed it. Totally. I've been around a while, and I don't believe I've ever seen better. When a drummer is at *this* level, there is *no* *best*, as I'm sure many of us know. This is the top level that holds just a teensy percentage of all the drummers on the planet- you know, like, maybe the top .0001% It's a small group, for sure, and getting to see any of them play, you know, like this guy, is definitely an experience.
Damn you Cat Keys, I was thinking about what to write, and what you already wrote was what I also wanted to say!!! In addition, if I may, this guy has that relaxed fluidity that is Weckl's hallmark. Close your eyes and you can't tel them apart! BRAVO!!!

In addition to my comments to Cat Keys, I have been looking at over 30 covers of this track so far and this is the ONLY one that really nails it! The others MAY have the rhythm right, but what is missing are the subtelties, the dynamics. Its NOT just about playing the drumming and the rhythm spot-on, but about HOW you play the track. Young Frenchie - well done!! I am proud of you!!
Et - en Francais comme dans le texte!! J'ai regardé plus de 30 reprises de ce morceau jusqu'à présent et c'est le SEUL qui le cloue vraiment ! Les autres PEUVENT avoir le bon rythme, mais ce qui manque, ce sont les subtilités, la dynamique. Il ne s'agit PAS seulement de jouer de la batterie et du rythme, mais de COMMENT vous jouez le morceau. Jeune Frenchie - bravo !! Je suis fier de toi!!

HAHAHA!!! You sound just like Dave!! Obviously you are very talented...Something VERY FUNNY is you have the same head movements and affections as Dave when he plays!!! LOL! I hope you can find your own voice. I also hope you take your great foundation of talent and start focusing on music and styles that you hate, or at least are not comfortable with. Only by going outside your comfort zone will you develop a full vocabulary. We already have Dave. He is very special. You are not him and you don't have his magic but you can find your own magic if you want to. You have go outside your comfort zone to find it. I hope you have a long and successful career!
