Yeah, stick with ledger, which has been hacked.
You're literally sacrificing security over convenience, for a product that has repeatedly experienced significant security issues and malware problems..

They are two parts of your entire pin. Prefix + suffix = entire pin (5678 + 4325 = 56784325)

please help….. no one has made a video on using the led screen on the cold card to receive… I sent from hot wallet to QR code on device…. But my skeleton wallet doesn’t show funds… I do see it when I make watch only wall with pub address
ive been unable to connect ledger device via desktop to the new elronnd xexchange where i had farms on the old maiar dex now called xexchange any ideas anyone ? trying to relocate the farms i had on the old maiar dex that i used ledger to connect (nano s) a year or so ago
Noticed when using air gapp to create a Sparrow Wallet with ColdCard your exported the generic JSON however, now ColdCard has a Sparrow Wallet export...do you now export that instead of the generic JSON from ColdCard? Thanks
If they now have a JSON that is specific for Sparrow, then I would use that. I'll have to check into that.

If the Ledger debacle is now driving this move towards absolute cold storage, and setting one up is this involved; the point of widescale adoption of personal storage by the 'average masses' has moved even further away.
There are other wallets out there that are also easy and intuitive to use, but FUD has definitely soured people's view of crypto
This tutorial was very in depth. The cold card is really easy to set up. However it can also be extremely detailed depending how ridiculously secure you want it to be

Why is my cold card bricked with a red light and says verifying? Can’t get it to do anything else no matter what I try.
Question.... going through that brutally complex air-gapped firmware setup scares me. How risk is it really to download it? Have there been instances where someone on a TREZOR or LEDGER has ever lost their coins due to downloading a firmware update? I've never heard of one yet.

Excellent content but I would not recommend using that seed phrase in the editing of the video the first 3 words were visible...
Thanks yeah spend a lot of time and effort trying to blur out the seed phrase but at the same time try to show the audience what exactly is going on. I do and end up revealing one or two sometimes three of the words. Thanks for the heads up.

I've been studying this at length. Yes, 12 is perfectly excellent. No array of the best computers can break it and it will be decades until they can, or maybe longer. But 24 words is literally billions of times harder and no computer may be able to break it until the Sun dies. AA, who is a hero to me, prefers 12 because he feels (correctly) that anything beyond 12 means it is 10x more likely someone will lose their seed than ever get their seed broken. Especially since people with 24 word seed phrases often "split" the location of their seed phrase, which is a terrible idea that increases risk. AA correctly (to me) believes that the best route is 12 words and then don't lose the seed!

I agree, the Cold Card is complicated. But I wasn't trying to show off. I was responding to people in my comments that were requesting that I do a tutorial on the Cold card. Perhaps you might be interested in a wallet that's a little bit easier to use, such as the Tangem wallet. I have also reviewed that wallet:
