Thank you! I'm much better now is the good news, still worry about it like anybody would but I've had 2 follow up scans and I'm fit as a fiddle now apparently 🙂

So felt what you’ve been through.my daughter had VAD and was on life support for 4 days. Her brain swelled and she had to have a craniotomy.we didn’t know if she would survive.my grandson was only 7 months old..She came through it and recovered amazingly.I hope you you get better and stay well.

I had a vertebral artery dissection in 2006, fortunately mine was diagnosed quickly, I had an MRI that day. I spent years searching the internet for another live human that had a similar experience with no luck. I stopped searching when Dr Google informed me that they are most commonly diagnosed in an autopsy. 😬 I wish all doctors would take the time to truly listen to every patient and not dismiss them when something isn’t right. How are you doing now?

Yeah doc google is rarely a person of joy for me lol. Im good thanks, i had a follow up mri scan just before xmas gone and they said its like 99% healed with a small irregularity left (scar tissue). The mental scars and like ptsd i guess are the worse part, im still ultra careful with my neck to an obsessive amount sometimes. Hope you are good now too and nice to meet you 🙂

@@RachaelRLE It hasn’t happened again and I didn’t have a stroke. It would have been nice to get a better answer than “sometimes they just happen spontaneously” as an explanation as to why it happened. I believe I actually felt it happen when getting something off a high shelf, I few hours later I was on the floor crying in pain. I’ve had a lot of neck pain in my life but that was unlike any of it.
Every time you mentioned your vision problems in the video, I was trying to figure out why that wasn’t triggering the doctors into action. Intermittent vision problems are not normal and the disconnect with the closing of the laptop would have really freaked me out.

Yeah like i say they just seemed to think well im young and trans so meh the hormones are to blame.. i did complain to pals but doubtful anything will come of it. The freaky thing is i used to get 4 to 5 migraines a week for like 15 years straight no lie. Once i had the strokes they have vanished, not a single one in nearly a year now.

Thank you for sharing your experience. 💓 I was diagnosed with vad, 4/03/21. Don't know what caused it. I found your video through looking on how to recover from vertebral artery dissection... Therapeutic for me.

Sharon Stone said she was freezing on the floor wrapped in a blanket. I just read stroke can causes you to lose yr temperature.

I have had people say that too but for me I was in a very warm bath at the time and it was a block not a bleed so slightly different for me 🙂

I feel like you encountered something very common among cis women.... the medical staff did not believe you and minimized yr symptoms. Loads of us go through this.
