Picking up and packing those boxes was awesome! Fantastic video all around. I couldn't imagine Santa Monica likes wasting time sending three trucks down all these tight, congested alleys each week. What a nightmare with all the carts on top of each other! I suppose the alternative is less desirable, so, whatever. haha
and the alleys in this area with 300s get trucks 3 times a week! Kinda makes me wonder why they went automated in the first place (or at least as early as they did) given how much of the city is far from ideal for automation. A rear loader would be far easier for these alleys, especially given the amount of property damage these trucks cause and the constant slow maneuvering they do to be able to grab carts properly. The gripper is to big. Not enough room to grip one cart. The driver has to grip both carts to avoid damage to wall
He could have gotten out and moved it up but I dont know.
