Bless these MASTERS of MUSIC! RIP Walter & Donald don't stop! Jon Herrington also a brilliant guitarist, not to mention the musicians in this band, awesome & YES ladies, great back-up vocals.
Wow, Never heard "Green Earrings" Like This! They are The Greatest Jazz/Rock Band Ever! This was it for Me, the Very best Live performance Ever for This Band!
For sho...saw SD , four or five times..the first being the first show after their long hiatus, in Detroit...and when Walter would sing one of his songs....people would get up and leave to go to the restrooms, concessions, or talk... Was like...WTH?? if going on??? Unbelievable

Ty for that info. 👍 SD always seem to have top flight musicians. They sound so incredibly vibrant, soulful. And those gals on background vocals and harmonies are amazing. They're very easy on the eyes, too. Also, something of a SD trademark. Well done!
If I were a musician who was lucky enough to play with Steely Dan, whether on one of their records or one of their tours, I don't think I would take it personally if they didn't use me later, because they change members all the time. I would feel like a member of a very exclusive club of musicians, who would be a permanent part of musical history, although I might feel sad if I couldn't continue to play with them, because it looks like a blast and I would miss the fun.
There's on thing with studio musicians and session players on has to know: Most of them are fully booked over long stretches of time into recording sessions and frequently replace for example other musicians that suddenly got sick or have family issues elswhere, so they have to show up at home to mind their own business. So it's not a matter of "being replaced" but rather a sort of "rotational" thing. When Becker&Fagan wanted to have you on stage, well thats the highest medal you could ever strive for.....wear it happylie. ❤❤❤
@@J3unG Nonsense. Carlock is a great player that fits like a glove. Lawson was great too, as was Peter Erskine and Bernard Purdie, but Carlock is more versatile IMHO.

Finest vocal performance by the Great Donald Fagen.
Jack of speed... heavy, smooth, SD 💯🎶😎
Walter Becker greatly missed and a long overlooked fantastic guitar player. Love his sound
Walter is terribly missed and never forgotten

Two...2...dos..Steely...Dan...reeliin' in the hits🎶💯✔️
Jazz meets rock. Tastiness ensues.
Not enough of us hit the thumbs up-like button!
This band is peerless.
Steely Dan is mysterious and very deep by grand design that will never be replicated by no others past present future
I have seen SD in concert at least 15 times - each show was great - can't wait to see them again!!
I am resigned to the fact that I will never get over Carolyn Leonhart. Woe is me. ;-)
Me too but I do get to share one thing with her. My birthday , it's not quite enough but it's something
Down in Tampa, the future looked desparate and dark...
Goodness, I love me some SD.
Tampax truly is a dark and desperate town.
Always loved the way Walter deflects with 'Kinda Blue'.

This one gets saved in my "Contemporary Documentary" library file, as well as "Rock", "Jazz", "Humor", "Funk", "Health", "Music Instruction" etc...
Sheeeeeeeit. SD is truly bringin' the stuff, here.
my left ear enjoys this
Green Earrings. Yeah.
Gosh, I miss Walter Becker SO MUCH! And Cornelius Bumpus passed away only 4 years after this video was made. Too soon for both of them to leave us.

Agreed!👍🏾
Top notch players indeed.

Hello Gekko and the Glixor Bwee
Kik Azz!👍🏾👏🏾
Love em. Too bad all good things must end. Really made it their own style.
That part at 2:47-2:51 (repeated elsewhere) is so SD.
Babylon Sisters is missing that Bernard Purdy shuffle feel? Still sounds good Ricky!
He playing it. You don't know what you're talking about.
Great drummer but I still think Keith Carlock is the best.
Naw, man. The drummer in the vid is the late, great RICKY LAWSON. keith carlock doesn't rate on the same level as Lawson. Do some research, son.
