This was wonderful Konstantin. You seem much less stressed and happier and that you are relaxing and enjoying the simple things. Uzbekistan has so much beauty. I love to learn about food from different countries, I hope you will share more Uzbek food with us.
I love this video!!! I really love seeing how other people in the world live! Love the simplicity and beauty of it all...Uzbekistan's roadside cafe's and market! I will bet NO ONE EVER responded to a McDonald's hamburger like this!!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
Much better to see you out in the countryside, in the fresh air, eating local foods, sharing traditions - rather than sitting at a boring table. Inhale deeply and smile...we are with you. ( south Florida )
Looked good to me! We lived for 3 years in Bulgaria so to drive out to the country and eat the wonderful breads, shishki (bbq beef, lamb) was an great experience. The people would give us all they had. Thanks for bringing back the memories. Enjoyed it very much Konstantine.
I'm glad you clarified that it was not "mador grass" because as I was watching the video I did a quick search and found that mador is "allium motor" - it's in the onion family, while the plant you showed resembled spinach, which would also be quite healthy. The samsa so resemble gozleme of Turkey, and the attire of the women is similar to villagers there, too. It's wild how far Turkic culture extends. Thanks for the video, and it's good to see you more relaxed than you've seemed in weeks.
привет from Poland! OMG "tapczan" in Polish means a type of couch or sofa made of wooden box and mattress on top. You can use it as a bed or regular sofa, inside wooden box bedclothes are usually kept. This grass resembles spinach and just like in Popeye cartoon, you'll become powerful if you eat some :) These pierogi and szaszłyki look soo tasty!
Constantine, I am so impressed. Wonderful video. Well filmed, this was just very, very, professional. Especially with everything you have been dealing with. I hope you can make more videos such as this. I enjoyed this so much!
I've wanted to travel to Usbekistan for a while now, it seems like one of the most fascinating places to me. I love how different cultures mixed, you see the clear influences from East Asia, Persia / Arab culture and Russian culture. But the outcome is something that is so unique. I'm actually learning Russian so that when I travel I will be able to get to know people better than if I just try with English.
Love this video! I’m so glad to see you getting out and doing normal things again. Just make sure to get plenty of rest. When you were talking about the green tea I suddenly had an idea. Since you don’t have your other tea with you right now, maybe I can order some and send it to you at your new place. Just to maybe give you some sense of “normalcy” and comfort.
Konstantin, I’m a fairly new subscriber from Sweden. Love your videos and informative livestreams. What an absolute gorgeous scenery at that place! Guess Uzbekistan is on my bucket list now. Stay strong! 💪🏻
Thank you for having the talent to produce a well done travel log video of your dining experience. I look forward to watching your adventures. Best wishes!
Wow I love this already! Even the first scene feels like the outskirts of my hometown Vienna photoshopped in front of the Spanish Sierra Nevada. I 've lived and traveled all over Europe, some of North and West Africa, Southeast Asia, India and Central and South America but this part of the world still remains a mystery to me. Thanks for this!
Great video. As a botanist, I was intrigued. So I had to research this. Mador grass is Allium motor and in the Alliaceae (onion) family. It wouold have slender grass-like leaves as it is a monocot. This is clearly not that as they said. It looks very much like dandelions, Taraxacum officinale, a common weedy species in the sunflower (Asteraceae ) family. It is a broadleaf dicot. I noticed the purplish roots and hollow stems characteristic of dandelion. I love dandelion leaves. Very tasty. If I am wrong someone correct me. As a Floridian, I also noticed the Florida bag hanging from the tree:)
Looks like a close relative to Allium tricoccum. Grows here in Massachusetts and is called wild leek. Is one of those "spring tonic" wild foods. Same plant is called ramps in the South. check out Allium tricoccum and see if you agree.
@@susanmaguire1503 Not possible. Allium is a monocot. The leaves are clearly a broadleaf (dicot). I suspect the Asteraceae family. Many species are cool season plants.
What an amazing journey. I liked the ending. You have to go back and show us the Mador grass. The sauce you put on the tandoori looked like yogurt. Do you know the spices they use? I would love to try the dried grapes. I am enjoying your videos.
I noticed ‘Florida’, actually double tapped (rewind 15 secs) to confirm - just near the ‘angry birds’. 😂 Nice vid Konstantin and hello from Australia good to see you enjoying what looks like very relaxing countryside.
Watched your stream from yesterday. Very good. You & I are kindred spirits. I lost my right eye to choroidal melanoma with retinal detachment. Which is all much better now. It is hard to tell I'm a one-eyed old man. Very moving testimonial for those viewers that have not seen it yet. Dated 4/1/22.
Hi Constantine, glad you got out of R before they shut you down....great timing! Thank you for sharing this with us. Keep safe and keep 'em coming. Bri
Comments have been cut off for me since early March but I have been a regular viewer. Thanks for your difficult work keeping us informed from your vantage point. Be very careful.
This was a great video! What a beautiful area! I would have tried the grass! The grapes looked good, too. My grandmother grew grapes and it looked just like her vibes. I hope you do go back in May and we see the real thing. Well or spring water does taste different. I'm sure it made delicious tea. Thank you Konstantin for taking us on this trip. The mountains are lovely.
You really did a great job showing us a part of this beautiful country and breath taking landscapes. Loved the cow being towed along on the road. Food looked delicious.
You look so refreshed!!! Come back for Mador grass and take video of the actual grass. Your video made me want to get some pierogi. Looking forward to more insider tours from you, Konstantin 🙂

I love this video! It's unbelievable, but we have something very similar to that bread with grass in Italy. And also the thing where they cook meat on short skewers is very tipycal of the region where I live, we cook sheep's meat kebabs on it. The world is ONE.
Such a beautiful video! Thanks so very much for sharing this amazing culture! I believe the topping to be either sour cream or yogurt. Either would be delicious! 😋 Now I’m hungry! 😆 God bless and be safe! ❤️
Stunning landscape! Thank you for taking us off the beaten track into Uzbekistan. That lunch looked delicious and I'm sure the grass was healthy even though it was not mador.
The white sauce you put on the pierogi; would you say it was yogurt based ?? Turkish and middle eastern sauces like Tzatziki are. Between the tea, the ''grass' pierogies and the grapes I can see people living very healthy lives... oh, don't forget the beef shish kebob. They all look yummy. Do they make any wines from all those beautiful grapes? I LOVED your video but then again I am hungry for good food I have never eaten before and even hungrier for travel.

Wonderful little video. Looks delicious. Did they offer other types of samsa as well, or just Mador grass? Also, do you see lots of tandyr ovens in Uzbekistan, or are they becoming something that are now only seen in the less developed areas?
