Hey Matt, it’s a strong possibility it’s this, hope it helps.. With Graco LP / FFLP tips, it’s about pairing the correct seat / gasket that sits in the tip guard.. Graco pairs the seat to the tip in the packet.. So an FFLP tip (for example 310) would have a smaller hole and an LP (eg 517), would have a larger.. a good idea is to have 2 tip guards with both seats to use with emulsion and then another for trim / woodwork paints.. a spitting problem can occur when the tip gets paired with the wrong tip guard.. I have to credit a good friend on here for discovering and sharing this information with me 😆 ..Let me know how you get on my friend 👍 ..Regards Pete
@@PaintHQ that makes sense, because I changed the tip but not the gasket. I might of even the changed the gasket when I next changed the tip back, so got them mixed up. I’ll have to pair the correct tips & gaskets, using separate guards like you mentioned. Thanks for the advice, it had gotten frustrating when I’d put so much effort into the prep, thanks again 👍
Sure 👍 When you ready to use them, tip the hour glass pot the right way up - the liquid drains out and you pick out the tip / filter that you require 👍 Regards Pete
hello mate, question for you if you don't mind helping. filters is a bit of confusion for me... so the question is which gun filter you use for interiors (emulsion...) and which gun filter for satin and primers.i just got graco fx21 but i havent used. thank you in advance
Hello Flavio, it will be my pleasure to help you.. So for emulsions (thicker material) you would use the black filter (also known as a 60 mesh filter).. Then for primers / topcoats (trim / woodwork), you would use the blue filter (100 mesh).. You have a great machine in the Graco GX21.. I'm just in the process of putting a video together featuring that very sprayer.. More than happy to help you any way I can my friend.. keep in touch, regards Pete
Very good question 😆 I don’t see no reason not.. I know of another ‘tip saver’ device that is large enough to also take the tip guard and Wagner TipClean can be used in conjunction with that (takes a lot of liquid).. the hour glass design is handy because you only need approx 200ml of liquid (comes with the initial purchase), and it last ages.. I’ve used this system for a while, I’ve got 2 hour glass bottles and refill bottle probably lasts a year.. I also use the refill liquid to occasionally wipe over the sprayer 😆 very good question my friend 💯 regards Pete
Hi - I've searched Amazon, the Wagner store and many of the home improvement stores but no one seems to carry the hour glass container and the CleanTip solution. I did find it on a UK site but I'd rather buy it domestically in the US. Thoughts on where I can purchase this product in the States? Thanks and great video!
I use original Krud Kutter here in Texas.I found out by accident how well it dissolves latex. I keep all of my tips and guards in a food storage container with it. They are always ready to spray
Hi Pete, great video. Does this liquid serve to weaken the remains of paint that remain after the initial cleaning or is it just to prevent rust on the pieces? Best Regards my friend.
Thank you Enrique.. It would weaken any remaining paint and prevent the tip drying out, especially if you was in a hurry and didn't flush the tip as part of the cleaning process, so instead just stored the tip in the fluid.. Also, I periodically use the cleaner to wipe over the sprayer, I find it softens any dried on paint and is a very good cleaning agent.. thanks for the question buddy.. regards Pete
I store em to anti freeze so they don’t rust Washer tab plastic box a bit bigger so you can store Filters tips tip holder clean shot Then blow my ff tips before use
Hay thanks for another video I love this tip clear I use it all the time its good stuff
Hey buddy.. really great to get your feedback and opinion on this product 💯 regards Pete
Very good video friend, I wanted to please you for how well you work, I love the way you work
Hey Yaniel, that’s very kind of you to say ..it’s an absolute pleasure to have your input on the channel.. what country are you from my friend? 😆
I am Cuban, but I have lived in the US for about 3 years
That’s awesome my friend 🇨🇺🇺🇸 ❤️😆 great to hear about painting and spraying experiences from other countries
Alright Pete, Have you got any advice on spitting. It was a problem for me the other day, using a fflp & lp tips, both new. 👍
