  • Here's a song I wrote and recorded with my new Friedman Steve Stevens SS 100 v2.
    I don't really know much about mixing, but I left the guitars pretty natural sounding minus some slight eq-ing.
    Signal Chain:
    Horizon Devices Precision Drive
    SS100
    Torpedo Captor X
    Apollo Twin
    Logic Pro X
    Guitars Used:
    Gibson Les Paul Custom for rhythm
    Custom Super Strat for leads

    Oh, you got me on that solo! I was like, “Dude is not playing that, what a faker!” Ha ha.
    Great content. I just put one of these amps on order and cannot wait.

      Haha right! One of the downside’s with improv and only doing one take, buzzed up.
      Congrats on the amp though, you’re going to love it! It really can do anything super well

      @@sir.shreddington agreed, but improvised solos can be so cool. Yours was very nicely played.

    Like that pick attack, my SS is coming next week, and hearing this heavy chug helped my decision, good Jam Bro! Were you boosting the front at all?

    • @sir.shreddington
      @sir.shreddington  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks man! Yeah I had a boost in front of the SS channel for my rhythms. This amp doesn’t need a boost though. I only used it to slightly change the texture of the tone

      Can I switch from clean to SS and to SS+ via foot switch or do I gotta reach for the toggle?@@sir.shreddington

    This is the sickest riff ive heard in a long ass time. Have you ever try the V1 of this amp?

    • @sir.shreddington
      @sir.shreddington  Год назад +1

      Thanks Will! I never got a chance to unfortunately, but I’m sure it still slays. AND it can probably be found cheaper than the v2 now.

      I've been watching for one. And I've seen a butterslax as well. My two favorite Friedman amps. I am trying to be not an impulsive maniac. lol! I like how that horizon devices sounds with that amp. Thanks again

    • @sir.shreddington
      @sir.shreddington  Год назад +1

      That’s my #1! It’s a custom soloist that sounds (almost) as big as a Les Paul, but strat playability. 💪

      You’d think because of the headstock right?! I got the body and neck from Warmoth. It was when warmoth still had the license for that headstock. She turns 24 this year.

    This is not helping my GAS for this amp…… Sounds maybe a hair less compressed than a standard BE, pretty big in the low mids, with a nice top end……. CONGRATS on your purchase!!!

      @@sir.shreddington Hey dude do you need to use a load box or does the amp have the typical great Friedman master volume ie do you need to crank it for great tone? I just really need to know because I have a down payment on one now. Thanks.

    • @sir.shreddington
      @sir.shreddington  Год назад +1

      @@JayRoc17 Hey Jay! This amp has your typical Friedman master/system volume. The control layout on the front of the amp is identical to the BE100 deluxe. It's not entirely necessary, but I have an attenuator anyway only because my living situation kind of requires it right now. I'm really using the attenuator for my other amps though
