I love this video format for you (and for us!). It's like we are just sitting down having a chat. Perfect! Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge with us.

Thank you! Great tutorial!! I’d love to see more. 💯 I actually have a Wilson leather jacket to list, even has the original hanger with it. I also found that vintage Levi’s coats are desirable. I just listed one on EBay for 125$ 😀
Yes please, would love more videos like this. Great info. Levi's scare me, but now I know a few key indicators to look for. Thank you! I tuned in to your Whatnot show last night, and would love a video or 2 showing how you prep for a show. The behind-the-scenes info/ set up/ preparation that could be helpful for someone who's trying to learn how to run a show for the first time. You've been doing it for awhile and would have some great tips. I hope you had a successful show and I'll definitely tune in again. Thanks Bethany!
Such an amazing video! You have always been a great source of information, and I’m sensing that you are growing more comfortable and confident being on camera, helping us all out! So exciting.. Much love to you ❤ Also last night I actually did a juicy couture tag deep dive. I had questions about it, I didn’t know the difference and it looks like a lot of sellers just automatically put vintage and Y2K on their juicy listings. A lot of the ones that are listed as vintage are actually new. So it was good to hear that I am at least in the right track with what I’m looking up! I switched from refinishing vintage furniture for 15 years to reselling vintage clothing online and it’s a whole new world!
I have a Wilson's suede jacket in hot pink I bought in 2001 that no longer fits. Might be time to check comps on it (already know I won't get back down to that size LOL).
Haha I definitely would check comps! Also, even if comps aren’t strong, if it is in a great style or has any special features, I’d still list it and use string keywords to help it sell :)
I always check the bolos stated while I'm watching these videos. "Vintage Wilson Jackets" have about a 50% STR. $4,000+ listed, 2,000 sold. The ones over $$40 have various details, like fur collar, long, patchwork, etc. Make sure you look up the style. Many are listed for $5.00 unsold.
As I said when talking about these items in the video, style 100% matters when it comes to vintage overall and especially the items and brands mentioned in this video. :) As a reseller selling these kinds of pieces, I rely heavily on styles, current trending aesthetics and strong keywords, not really on the STR of Wilson’s leather jackets on eBay but on the aforementioned and my own comps based on experience. The ones not selling are A, not in demand styles, or B, not using proper keywords.
@ Love the GW bins for its treasures I pluck. South pole jeans, Yeti tumbler, Breville microwave, stanly tumbler, Bialletti moka and several gameboy advance games. Also a Raggedy Ann plush (non haunted 👻)
Hi! Sounds like a great find :) I wouldn’t be able to offer any advice without actually seeing the piece but would definitely recommend checking comps again and see what they look like for that specific item!
I have a vtg wilson leather short trench with removable thermal vest sitting for.over a yesr. Barely any likes, full huge description, and on 4 platforms. Idk why. I had reposted it a few times too. Only $50
Hi there! We have many years of experience selling multiple six figures worth of items ourselves on platforms which definitely lays a good foundation, and our clients definitely do give us feedback! I also personally spend a ton of hours per week deep diving and comping current trending styles, brands, and aesthetics to make sure I'm always keeping my finger on the pulse of the market. Also, we sell between 200-300 items per week on whatnot ranging from vintage and y2k pieces through brands and designer items, so we also use our experience from whatnot as well!
I only sell on Poshmark, and sometimes I feel like style bolos just don’t do as well on there. Have you had that experience or do you think you can sell style pieces on any platform?
Sorry- I should correct this. I think certain style pieces that have a good brand attached to it (like Wilson, lipservice, Mudd, etc) do great! I have tried to start picking up pieces based on style and not brand, and that hasn’t gone as well!
@@kaitlyndwenger9187 from my experience, most of my style base pick ups mainly only sell on eBay. Everything else that is common sells on poshmark from the looks of it for me
Hi there! Style based pieces, from our experience, definitely sell better overall on eBay and depop, but I would say from experience that they still sell pretty well on Poshmark too!
I love this video format for you (and for us!). It's like we are just sitting down having a chat. Perfect! Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge with us.

70s is probably my favorite decades for fashion ever!!

Bethany, you've managed to somehow look "quietly elegant", with that cream shirt contrasted against your dark hair. Very lovely.

I haven't found any vintage Wilsons jackets lately but I did just sell a small Wilsons crossbody. Juicy Couture nightmares 😆
Lol to the nightmares comment 😂
Yes, this was great. How about vintage Victoria's Secret? Actually, even a video dedicated to vintage lingerie in general would be great. Thanks!
Vintage lingerie was one of our top selling categories on eBay for YEARS!!
I sell vintage VS all the time for over $30 :)
