I started young focused on learning learning learning with integrity and I seek to get better everyday, that is how I have become the best. If you stop working your right that is when you die. Keep working!

Best thing I've ever heard you say it's not a healthy path to have working less be the goal

One of your best videos!! The passive income dream seems like the perfect life but man it takes a lot of discipline to fill those 50 hours with something productive. Working, building and creating is a very good to fill those hours.
We were made by God to work. It’s a gift. I enjoy working 6 days a week and unplug on Sundays! Thanks for the wisdom!

I just went back to a small time operation and I do as much of the labor as I can on my own, with one person helping me. I have great subs for anything I can't handle, but I keep my personal touch on things. Makes a big difference being the only legit roofer by trade in my market. Everyone loves it so far.

I really like the video. Always tell my wife I'd never want to win the lottery. Its always nice to have something to chase. The chase is better than the catch. Keep building and growing and working.

Not a roofer (name change?) but EXCELLENT advice! Definitely needed to hear this perspective because nobody really has the fortitude to say this or understand what’s happening. Working out also has this benefit (work) that keeps me positive and mentally refreshed..motivated.

Great, great advise. Only thing I would add is there is nothing wrong with wanting to retire early and get out of the field IF you have something else which can help others with your time, resources and skills/knowledge. Passive income is the ultimate goal, but not so u can do nothing. So you can do what the Lord has designed you to do without the restrictions on NEEDING to make an income. Just my humble thoughts.

I have 0 incentive to start a business anymore. I can't stand the trades. Shitty pay, no benefits, dead end job, come home and can barely walk, boss who has a drug problem. Sick of it.

This is an interesting comment. At 35 years old you are abit old. Just abit. I am too.. Going to throw out some 'new-school' advice ok. You can't smoke and drink and eat unhealthy and be an all star in the trades. AND..Same goes for tons of "Bosses". Look for it! I have come to realize the warning signs. Burger King wrappers and cig butts. Also stay positive. Maybe join a paint crew. Great work, play music while indoors. Best luck 86!

@@crbradbury8282 I've saved up money for this moment. Either I'm going back to school or I might get into insurance. I can see the writing on the wall for the trades and being a employee is not worth it now or in the distant future and I'm not interested in running the show.
